To whomever can answer my question: is there any sort of catch-up mechanism? If a player develops a substantial lead, what prevents them from running away with the victory? Or is the losing player just delaying the inevitable at that point?

Game looks interesting. A faster, perhaps 'simpler'(?) Twilight Struggle. I'll take a look.

I really really like the quality of the videos, but so much professionalism in a game preview or review, make it feel monotone. A little more energy or spontaneity could really help.
