Can’t wait to try this. I’ve had bottles for years that I don’t display due to ugly rust staining, thanks a lot.

Rust takes more time and you may need to leave them in there for days depending on how bad it is. I'm hoping it works for you!

Sorry if you said and i missed it,but how long do you leave the bottles in the acid for ?

Maybe an hour. If there are rust deposits it takes longer. There is no limit on time. I've left bottles in there for 2-3 weeks just because I had other stuff I was working on. It won't hurt the glass. Usually though, whatever is on the glass besides rust will get taken care of pretty quick. Muriatic acid won't take care of every stain though.....

@@HaulinGlass Hi again, do you know if the acid would ruin the little seal in Codd bottles ? Thank you

@@zGJungle good question, that's one I'm not sure of....maybe test it on a bottle you dont care about first.

I tried full strength acid in a bucket and still can't get those see-through white water spots off. The one's you see after it completely dries

@@justinh2701 true...it won't remove every stain there is unfortunately. I'm hoping to discover a stronger acid one day that will handle that....if you ever find one let us know!
