Rutland Water & Surrounding Area

Day 2 of Joy's birthday getaway. We discovered the little town of Oakham, before heading to Hambleton, a pristine village on the Rutland Peninsula. Our evening took us to the nearby village of Wing, and The Kings Arms pub and restaurant. Best pub meal I've ever experienced, and Joy and have visited hundreds during our marriage. Also have to give a shout out to the Hungry Birds cafe in Oakham, a fascinating little venue with a unique identity. In all, it was a day to remember and one we'll treasure.
