So you see guys, a few days in Rio and NO robberies, NO bang bang and no killings. Its all a big BS, about Brazil, this "violence" in every corner, killings every minute and shootings. I don't want to start another back-and-forth on whether/not the place is 'dangerous' (as compared to any other place you may travel to).
But, I learned something as a result of my visits to Rio and many other cities in Brasil, like Sao Paulo where I've lived many years: I've never suffered any violence, any robbings or muggings in Brasil. All the best guys and keep on the road with your yellow Tuk Tuk !!
But Rio is indeed dangerous, the stats prove it! São Paulo is really much more secure! Again, the stats show it clearly!

Pressure in your head
Bad headache
Stiffness in the neck
Coughing mucus with blood
You went to a medical clínic for a checkup. That's ok, but perhaps you should go to an emergency room of a good hospital.
They will probably ask you to take a brain tomography, just to be sure.
Sometimes one may have a slow internal bleeding that one does not detect until it becomes more perceptible and big (it happened to my father in law). It's very dangerous.
Do that for your tranquility, while you are in Rio de Janeiro.
Don't postpone.
Do you have any travel or international health insurance?

(About the accident...) I’m from Rio de Janeiro, and I’m really sorry about your accident, Arjuna. I’ll be praying and giving thanks that the three of you are okay! I’ll also donate through the link in the Ryan description so you guys can keep traveling more safely. But I’d like to point out that, even though the truck driver was in the wrong, there were even eyewitnesses, driving on Brazilian highways with a vehicle that can’t hit at least 90 km/h can be dangerous. Great trip and beautiful views!!!... Please visit Ouro Preto... just sad that all of the country's interior suffered from the biggest drought in history. And about Rio, Copacabana is where all the hotels are due to urban legislation, plus its beach is pictureesque. However, its the last interesting neighborhood in all of Rio's South Zone... being more rundown. Ipanema for instance, is much more than the beach - but about the neighborhood (nice cafes, shops, restaurants, parks the lake)... also ice bars and restaurants in Leblon and Botafogo.. and you also have magnificent Flamengo's park and architecture, and Jardim Botanico's forrest abundance. These areas also have a bigger feeling of security than Copa. Next time you should also visit downtown... its a world in itself

The statisticas of crime prove that Rio is indeed very dangerous! This year until July there was over 200 shoot out in the streets of Rio! Just for comparison, São Paulo is the double of Rio in population and size had only 4 in the same period!
You guys need to visit and try a jiu jitsu class . Brazilian sport . Maybe some capoeira too .
"ch" and "j" sound as in French not Spanish. So "chocolate" is not "tchocolate", it's more like "shocolat". In the southeast we have this thing where we do a "tsh" when a word ends in "te", so in Rio it would be "shocolatsh".

I hope you can travel to Northeast beaches on BR 101 road ( and even Lençóis Maranhences. By the way, Brazil has some interesting National Park as Brazil has different kinds of biomes/vegetation) and some places in Minas Gerais state by Estrada Real (royal road).
If you go to Andes Montains, it is very difficult to ride there, some foreigners by car avoid traveling there...
My question: how you guys bought an Indian Tuk Tuk in Australia and how brought to South America???? 😮
