It's a song that we emotionaly experience. Coraline is a dark fantasy children's novella by British author Neil Gaiman. And I think that it's inspired by this novel. ☺️

Started learning italian on Duolingo just for this band... you can tell what impact it has on people. Love this band... there is not a single bad song. I made playlist on spotify to pick the best.. I skipped like 2, that have yet to grow on me.. the rest is in playlist.
It is a true story, the singer, Damiano, wrote it in memory of a friend, Coraline (invented name) abused by her father. In the end when he speaks of a castle with thick walls he means the cemetery, where nothing can affect Coraline anymore.

It's actually Damiano the lyricist of the band. He said that an interview here in Italy and at Eurovision when "Zitti e Buoni" won the award for best lyrics. The other members write the music and they arrange all the songs together. Very talented, all of them.

Such a powerful, touching song. The lyrics are so deep and poetic, and the music is great. I think people with all kinds of issues, whether it's difficult childhood, mental health issue, abusive relationship or something else, will be able to relate. Damiano has said that the story of this song is not a "damsel in distress saved by a knight in shining armor", it actually has a bad end... Just like life sometimes.

When I first heard it I fell in love with the melody and the way Damianos voice sounds like and then I looked up the lyrics and felt the same like you. What an incredible powerful song with such a deep meaning. I'm obsessed with Coraline. I'm obsessed with Måneskin and I'm so grateful they share their amazing talent with us.
Lyrics have always been the most important part in songs for me. That's why this song has been my favourite song since it came out and I've listened to it on repeat for years.

Hi, the song is about a sad but true story of a girl, a friend of Damiano (the singer), who was abused by her father, defined monster in the second verse (as he suggests in the last verse: "She lost the fruit of her womb He has not known love But a father who is nothing of a father ") and who committed suicide (" They told her there is a castle in the city With such powerful walls That if you go to live inside Nothing can hit you anymore "), where the castle is a Roman cemetery, the Verano Monumental Cemetery, called, in fact," the castle "...
