This is my personal note to you Thembi. I'm sure you don't know me because I left Cape Town in the 1990 or so and I came back from Namibia in 1994 for the return of exiles and the crowning of Nelson Mandela as the new President of south Africa. Years ago in Cape Town, having no schools of music I and my other friends we formed our own Township school of music whereby we taught ourselves everything from reading music to forming a band and play music with a little help from there and there. We always respected experienced local musicians and we would sometimes get help from them. Mine is a long story that can only be of interest to you, in particular. As I speak now I live in the United Kingdom as a saxophonist/ Community musician MA graduate. What you're doing is very rare for a young South African black woman, poignant. I wish you google me and find my details, and then we'll get to know each other. I really like what you're doing because you're doing exactly what I wished to do but did not do. At first I played jazz locally but later I studied it formally at diploma level in Ireland. I'm also one of the musicians looking forward to hearing your second album. Let's keep in touch.

Well done Thembelihle. Life is a journey. You are on your way. I am a songwriter in the style of The Great American Songbook, jazz and blues not show tunes. I live in the countryside in The Dominican Republic. There is very little jazz near me, so I do everything on my own. I look forward to hearing the results of your recording in New York.

Hello, at the moment I am working out how to record my performance of my songs live, using my cell phone. I think I will do it before the end of this month {Jan 2024}. I will record 4 songs. After that I will start learning how to perform some more.
