@@PortlyGentleman Yeah I just ordered 2x DN40 tri clamp T-piece. Wasn't expensive and will do the job. I already have a tri clamp heating element and thermowell. Just realized that as my pump can handle temperature of 203°F I can also use almost boiling water CIP to "autoclave" the Unitank. Another way to sanitize FV.
@@PortlyGentleman question for you, did you need an adapter cable to connect the heating element to the inkbird? ordering the parts to make this now and wanna make sure I get everything I need in one go
@@PortlyGentleman ah gotcha, it looked like the cable was a female end so I was worried that I needed to hunt down a male C13 adapter. Cool looks like I got everything I need for this, can't wait to give it a run!
I have the same unitank and when I run a CIP I still have to take off all the tri clamps and fittings and clean the caked in yeast that's packed into the washers. Do you not have that issue with super hot water?
I don’t think that pump is going to last many of these CIPs before the black compound mounting gives up and starts hair line fractures. Have you asked Blichmann about the temperature tolerances on their pump? If not many customers could have their warranty cancelled because of your video.
You guys are just over the top with gear. Never had a problem with just brewing in a simple plastic bucket, shared the beers all liked it. The US home brew culture is misplaced, too much money, not enough simplicity. The best beer in the world is an English ale, no carbonation, 4% ABV, flat as a kipper, served at 15C, brewed with EKG hops. Brew, clean up, ferment, and drink. No problem.
Nice job brother!! Definitely a good solution... You are right about plastic fermenters!! Don't do it!! Lol 👍🍻
Thanks Brian 🍻 plastic is cheap and you get what you pay !
Well, now I know what I will use my parts from the inline sparge water heater test for..! Thanks and keep 'em coming :) Cheers
Happy I could help my friend 🍻
Looks like Jaybird sells a similar premade RIMS tube. Why the custom build? To get the thermowell? Love this idea and the channel btw.
Nice video! I have been CIPing for aboutv6 batches now and have been considering to build something like this myself.
Go for it definitely works and It's also kind of fun! Can also probably get a couple different uses out of the setup.

@@muju96 yeah I used a PC power cable or a PC monitor cable. It's a pretty standard cable here in the US.

Do you rinse with 190F clean water after the PBW CIP? Or just the PBW cycle?
After I hook the CIP ball top water and rents with that .
Great video! Do you use the SS brand spray ball
Mini or another type
Yes I have the micro spray ball

So long as the brewer is enjoying the process ;).
