Thanks for the video sir. Looking at the carb stone upgrade for the 1/2bbl UniTank I just bought. The Amazon link you provided offers a 6" and 8" stone. I'm a little worried that they'll hit the glycol coil. Am I worried about nothing? All good?
Unlimitedly I will be looking more closely at your upgrades provided in this video and implementing accordingly in the next few months I have watched your videos for awhile and already have two SS BrewTech Chronical BME fermenters as well as their 1/8 HP Glycol Chiller. Although the Chiller is rated for only two, 14 gal vessels, I find that it is never taxed even when two vessels are in use. (Cold Crash or lager in a WA garage). Thus I should be able to run three, 14 gal fermenters at a time in my environment. The Chiller has 3 inputs and 3 outputs to the glycol cooler compartment already and is ready to accept another vessel by default. WIth that said, I would like you to know that your videos have informed me enough to add additional options to my brewery and I ordered a 14 gal Unitank from SS BrewTech tonight based on your input. Thanks for everything you do and keep on brewing!
Great video! Regarding the ball valve, I bought the "quick clean" tri clamp ball valve from SS Brewtech. It worked great for about 5 times, then the ball jammed and it broke. Now I'm using a butterfly valve like you do for the blow off cane of my fermenter. My thinking when I bought the ball valve was that it would give more control over the flow of gas going out. But thinking about it now... once it's closed, I generally keep it closed for the rest of the fermentation. So it's more of an on/off valve than a flow control after all.
It's on the 14-gallon tank I do have a video detailing my cleaning process It's a little bit older one so it's not the best. You should be able to find it in my SS Brewtech equipment playlist 🍻
Great video Bradley! Appreciate the info! Have you done a video review on your unitank? Would love to see it in action to see how it works for your set up. Sláinte!
Thanks for the video Brad, good work and I am now subbed. I myself have been considering a conical or an unitank and have been comparing the SS uni vs the Spike conical or the Brewbuilt. I am leaning the SS brewtech as of now, any advice you would give me given your experience?
Honestly the Brewbuilt isbetter put together I think ! The only hold up for me would be cooling and heating . I would shoot them a message on Instagram and see what they say let them know I’m curious as well that might help out!
@@PortlyGentleman How hard is it for you to clean your SS? I watched your heated cleaning video and it seemed fairly straightforward. I just didn’t know if you have any issues?
@@Bohern1 it wasn’t difficult they just took a long time , I was doing other stuff while it was going on so it wasn’t a huge issue. The finish on the inside of my SS unitanks it’s honestly not that nice . As well as the build quality overall I think they may actually have the lowest Quality out there maybe .
Another great job with an honest value! Have you used the Dernord products on Amazon. The prices are good but I am not sure of the quality. DERNORD Sanitary Butterfly Valve with Pull Handle Stainless Steel 304 Tri Clamp Clover (1.5" Tube OD)
The ones I've shown all originated from Amazon. In short yes I've used them all, relatively recently I know sometimes Amazon products seem to change. Luckily there are return processes relatively painless.
solid video braj
Thank you 🍻

I'm sorry to hear that one broke so quickly That's disappointing for sure . Definitely once mine's closed it doesn't get opened until cleaning time 🍻
What size unitank do you use the 6 in carb stone in? Maybe a video on your process for cleaning it...would certainly be appreciated.

Thanks! Same size that I have. This should work perfectly. Great video.
Yeast brink &/or top port dh addition butterfly valve like the new BT Uni Tanks? Ali Express has all sorts of creative solutions to “problems”

I haven't done one yet not a complete review anyways, I'm actually waiting I'm hoping to compare it to yet to be released unitank 😉
@@PortlyGentleman very cool! I cant afford it now but Im interested to see it and maybe down the road I can. Appreciate the info!

I'm smacking myself for not thinking to replace the hose barb for a ball lock on the carb stone. Great stuff keep it up!
Happy I could help
There´s lots of substitutes for all these sub par items on aliexpress or ebay. That racking arm is just silly
I would agree 🍻
Yes fast fermenter I did not buy that crap because of your video 👌
Definitely happy I was able to help
I’m wondering if SS watched this video.
Someone there I think
