Awesome restoration, I wanna try doing something like this on an old sportspal but don't have much experience restoring boats. Great walkthrough, love the process!
Great video, beautiful boat. I have #3912 built in 1970 in Emlenton PA USA.. so I’m guessing your 1428 was built in the mid to late sixties… I’m going to make a walk through video of my mods this week, hope you’ll take a look.
I have just found a 1993 which I am in the process of restoring. It takes work and time but it pays off, nice job. A side note; the eyelet bolts are made to go inside center and a bungee cord ran from one to another to hold the paddles or as storage straps. No biggie as you made them work for you. Enjoy it!

Ah! Thank you, I ended up getting the paddle clips and put them on the outside of the canoe to make room inside the canoe.
Good luck!
I found circa 1850 heavy body and paint remover and my pressure washer worked amazing on getting that flexseal off
@@adam554451 thanks for the tip
1 ugly ducklin, you turned into a beautiful swan with your vision and hard work . Great going, man .
Thanks man!
