I actually purchased a GLD chain about 7 or so years ago when I didn’t really have the money to purchase real jewelry, and I’m going to be honest.. I wore that thing basically every day for 2 years straight and it never faded on me. Which was crazy to me because i owned a plated pendant once and that thing faded in less then a month. Like he said, they make nice pieces especially if it’s just something you want to wear to the club or on the weekends. I respect that he is keeping it real and not just hating on the company because that’s what most other jewelers would do.
The best option for these are those made of double plated silver, so you get weight and are actually wearing precious metals. €200 gets you a pretty great chain that lasts quite a few years, and silver won’t tarnish under gold.

But all the ones I see on TikTok say you can take it into the shower and they say you can use it while playing sports with it on but there were other ones where they would make it seem like a genuine review and make it seem like there honest but never actually talk about the down side a little bit and they would still make sure you click on there link to buy with GLD so there making it look so good so they can make money. I have had a GLD chain for a little over a year and wear it daily. I have yet to notice any fading in the plating or anything at all. It's cheaply produced but it is a high quality product for the price. If you can afford the legit jewelry then definitely go for it but if not GLD is a great alternative in my opinion.

I worked as a metal finisher for a few years and one of my applications was nickel plating and man it’s terrible for human skin in many cases causing irritation and exposure can damage your lungs and other organs and is known to be cancerous. Main reasons why nickel is used in most applications is for corrosion resistance and adding thickness to surfaces and it’s inexpensive.
