I grew up with Sarah Vaughan's rendition of this song. When Luther Vandross released this rendition, I smiled. He did wonderful justice to a song that I always loved.
LUTHER VANDROSS....... his voice was smooth as silk, yet so powerful! Only had ONE chance to see him perform live with his own band & background vocalists that included LISA FISCHER (if you don't know who she is, look her up - she's an amazing singer in her own right)..... EVERYBODY was simply fantastic!🥰 I did see him perform when he was one of the background singers for the group CHIC & WAAAAAAY before anybody knew who he was. I wanted to see him again perform at RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL but didn't have the opportunity.. 💔 My Feelings were soooo hurt when it was announced he passed on. There will NEVER EVER EVER EVER be another singer like LUTHER VANDROSS on this Earth! IJS 💜🎶🎵🎶🎵🎤
