I actually modded some cars when I play RoR years ago, then I moved to BeamNG and just got busy with life. Fiddling with the notepad and blender with its texture mapping was such a nightmare but having a custom item actually makes the game more interesting. Everytime I play BeamNG there would be something that I would like to do but I just don't know how, this video actually help me to get back to modding. Thank you for the tutorial!
Great video! Would be nice to have one where you model your own truck for beamng. I’ve been working on one in blender for a while . How do you put the " D-Series " frame and all under a blender model ?
Yeah, how TF do I get a unique texture (and mesh) to work? I've tried the tutorialon the official beamng site (guide to vehicle creation) and it doesn't work.
i used this to work on the back of a truck im making, but i was trying something different, i used poly build to fill in the wheel wells but when i try to smart uv map it for a png to use in materials for my paint job, the uv map does not show the polys or faces i added... also i used the technique where i cut the truck in half and got it the way i wanted it then mirrored it over to the trucks right side, but now the UV map only shows half the truck, the half i worked on but not the half i copy pasted mirrored. I renamed all the files that i worked on adding my own part name to the parts i worked on and edited, and then renaming the copy pasted parts the same name but right instead of left. Help please

im trying to make a covet ute, and i used this video to learn how to use blender and export files to beamng, but i cant get the frame, tailgate, or quarter panels to work in beamng. please help. ive watched the export part of the video at least 4 times now and ive redone it completely all 4 times and it just wont let me use the ute body and tailgate
Hey man, I have a question that doesn't really have to do with your video. I try to import the ballon d'or, everything goes well, but I don't have this shine effect that I had in Blender. In BeamNG it is just yellow and not gold. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it. THX
There is a tutorial on skins somewhere on the forums I believe, as for roof accessories you would follow this same tutorial only as a roof accessory not a bed.
How come that you can keep the game opened while changing stuff in the jbeam and dae files? for me sometimes parts will dissapear and sometimes parts will stay the same, i will have to close and reopen the game to see the changes
I am new to blender and beamng modding. The hardest part is getting the textures to export successfully to the game and it's a living hell trying to do so. Any tips? Maybe make a custom part and use a custom material and get it into beamng? Video idea 🤷♂️

From my experience I modifyed the vehicle for 3 hours and play with it for 10 minutes before modding other car lol

do you know how I could add a paint design to my vehicles? and add accessories to my car like a custom lightbar or prop to go in the top of it?

If you hit Control R it reloads the game, sometimes however you do have to reopen the game when stuff just isn't changing
