I remember when this game was first being talked about and how beefy the system requirements were, now even the consoles have the hardware. Makes me wonder where we will be once it's a full release, like will we been on RTX 50xx cards by then lol
was thinking about this the other day..I am predicting 5 years..but who knows new technology is always being released so it could always be extended as they try and include more features
No thats not the case. The more the game is developed, the team will start optimizations. Right now they give zero shits about optimization, because the systems are always changing. So dont worry
huh i've a ryzen 7 1800x, 1660 super, 16gb ram, nvme ssd for game install, and get horrible stuttering, usually 10-30fps in area18, with 100-200ms stutters, but trying to use the tram gave me a 50000ms frametime once, this is on low settings btw
Yeah low settings peg the CPU to max usage. I made the same mistake. The "quality" setting basically just balances between CPU and GPU. Turning down other settings increases performance, but this one is more of a balancer.
I was checking the RSI Telemetry chart at their website and according to the chart your settings should give an average of 33.5 fps at ultra High in 1920x1080 resolution, is that correct ??
What kind of settings do you have to be running to achieve this? I have very similar specs except I have a 5600xt gpu and the game is a choppy stuttering mess on high graphics settings.
The "quality" setting can be adjusted to balance the load between your CPU and GPU. I recommend turning it up until your CPU has room to breath (a stressed CPU creates an unresponsive/stuttery system, but GPU's are meant to go full-bore) Also I find more stutters when I have less RAM available. People recommend 32GB for this game.

I average around 50-60 fps most places, and with my focus on mining, the game runs pretty smooth for me. I also got the $45 starter, and honestly, the grind from 0 to hero has been quite enjoyable. Although big events like xenothreat did push my frames down a whole lot while doing them but I don't know when the next event like xenothreat would be. Most of your time will pretty much be spent in space or on smaller moons regardless of what you do to earn money so as long as you avoid the big cities (especially orison on crusader do not set your spawn there it's horrible) i think you'll have a pretty smooth sailing experience.
@@juwicarodurango129 hey man thanks for the reply, I ended up buying it straight after this comment, but got a ps5 and been busy so haven't really played much yet, runs well enough you're right.

Pure opinion based ..I’d say playable but you may experience a lot of stutters/frame drops due to 16gb of ram …but ofc in this current patch cycle performance influenced a lot by a sever condition

You’ll also raise the temperatures of the CPU, risking damage over prolonged periods of time with voltage increase. Yes, it’s built to handle it and yes, it will increase performance, but you may also shorten the lifespan of your CPU. Good thing with AMD however, is that they don’t have as many socket types as Intel. Makes switching to a new processor quite a simple feat.
