my only question is why you went tig welding on the hiem joint and mig welded the rest , seems like a waste pulling the tig welder out ..... wouldnt it be faster and easier to just blast em out with the wire feed ?
not questioning him just questioning the process , I'm sure there is a good reason why , I am just curious , as a fellow welder fabricator I was asking purely for information , not questioning shawn ... his skill speaks for itself !!!
Nice work! 👍I'd be interested in hearing Shawn talk more technical about welder settings in the fab videos. Kinda like when Brent explains what he's seeing/doing on the laptop when tuning on the dyno.
15th! The quality of work that comes out of this shop is outstanding! Each person has their own expertise that comes together with the others to send out fantastic cars and etc. unleashing them out into the world to impress and amaze! And on many occasions KICK SOME SERIOUS ASS on the street and strip!
Damn. Lol. I can't talk either. I have a versa note that has 110hp but the gas mileage is awesome. Every 2nd or 3rd weekend I drive a little over 1k miles just in that weekend.
Shawn is a major asset in the Brent works family, his mind is able to look at a problem and before anyone can blink he has at least 5 ways of working a solution. Shawn is better than the worlds fastest PC at problem solving.
that weight plate shawn built is awsome he is such a good fabricator and doesnt get enough credit. that guy is gifted!!! SHO NUFF!!!! love the channel you guys never let me down when i need something to entertain me.
Not only are you an amazing fabricator but your becoming very good at being in front of the camera. It's nice to see the work from the view of the mad scientist like mind of such a good fabricator.
You guys always know how to make the viewers feel like they're 'one of the family' Keep it up Shawn! Maybe some day we can enjoy a channel with your own stuff on it.
Shawn, you did it again. Another Zen moment. I have been waiting for this. I love this kind of videos. Don't get me wrong, i love all the videos from PFI Speed. Gets me in a good mood. Brent, my norwegian brother, you are lucky to have Shawn on the team! Keep up the good work boys!
Brent u are the King of dyno ! I really agree that Shawn is really good at building parts and cars! Really neat and accurate. PFI and Boostedbois are a really good team!
I could watch Shawn fabricate crap all day long. I watch the way he makes something and think to myself, why didnt I think of that. Keep up the good work.
did i see my favorite boosted man and a master fabricator @ work . hell yearrrr , love the video's with some real work in them. greetz from the Netherlands.
510Redneck I have made special custom adapter plates for a half a dozen different transmissions, as well as for rear axles, transfer cases, an adjustable table fixture, just because something is made to do one job doesn’t mean it cannot do another.
@@gullreefclubIt's a joke brah, ever since they have had the jack they keep throwing transmissions in without it. You must have missed all the comments on the video the other day joking around when they lowered the lift down on Brent while he was bench pressing the trans off the floor ("the brent jack"). lol I've worked in and owned garages my entire life, trust me when I say I know they are most often used for other shit. :) Mine is typically a impact - light etc. stand 99% of the time.
Awesome video Bro's an Shawn comin in clutch with his fabrication skills. Together there's nothin the PFi Crew can't build👍👍 Mad Lov & Respect for all y'all keep up the Great Rad builds, tunes ect. PFiSpeed/BoostedBoiz Rcks!!!🤜🤛😎🔰🔰🔰💪
What about welding a solid metal bar in place of the tube and forego the plate itself? weight is still forward of the axle and takes up less space, less cumbersome to fit up, etc.? perhaps even a larger pipe filled with concrete or perhaps lead? Not sure concrete would give the weight needed but cap off the ends when filled?
If Brent happens to be hoarding an s2000 roll bar, have Shawn weld some custom PFI badges on it and I will buy it. Other than that, another great Video!
Hey Brent, have you heard of the Chevy Opala from Brazil? I was watching the race scene over there, they run a in line 6 stock block etc, they are pretty rad. Have a SicSix6 kind of day!!
Sean Hatch Most automotive electrical is actually designed to run at 14v, not 12, because 14 is typical charging voltage with an alternator. 16 is often used on non-alternator systems to ensure fast starts and some margin to complete a pass.
It’s 6 in the morning man whoever is editing this got dedication
I imagine it takes many many hours to upload a almost 30 minute video in HD. Probably start uploading at midnight.
HungLikeAHorse #PrO or maybe different time zones?
@@2000stang5 it doenst take that long anymore, used to take a long time but youtube stepped up their game

*BEAUTIFUL WORK, SHAWN.*
*Where I live- they just tie down an 8-point Buck to the hood* 😁

Nice work guys! How is the intercooler getting airflow behind the solid bumper and the plate below it?
Shawn has some serious skills. 👍
Good stuff guys! Master of his craft right there
Picture in thumbnail at the hood latch is hidden pretty well by the way love your videos
Love this video. I’m gonna be getting the same thing done to mine soon, saving up for a franks front right now
If Shawn had his own spin off PFI fab channel It would be awesome, could watch these videos all day
He dose have a channel not to many uploads but there is some
Actually I take that back I guess I didn't hit the bell he's killing the uploads "goofy built Shane " check him

Remember when Shawn used to be scared of the camera? pepperidge farm remembers
So..Shawn..is there anything that you won't try to fab?
You..Da..Damn..Man ✊
Looks good Shawn, Nice job!
Awesome video guys, I was wondering why the car hesitates when you smash the throttle at the beginning of the dyno pulls? Is it normal or?
Shawn is such an inspiration for fabrication! I love the race car how to videos keep them coming!
Shawn video are the best !
Shawn is the man!!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
quick question... Did you add some sort of rubber cushioning to the bottom of the intercooler bungs where they go through the plate?
Fabrication work on point 👍🏻
Always impressed with the quality fab work. Nice to see :)
Does the radiator and intercooler get any rubber pads or isolators? Seems like vibration would be hard on both being hard mounted.
Badass Fab work! Keep posting more fab Videos!! 🤘💥
Good work, great to watch thanks :) Hope Kyle's Preliude is OK, not the engine again please, axle ?
Sho'nuff @9:14. Subbed.
Why not lead fill the tube or use solid stock instead of pipe to add more weight?
I built the same type of weight plate for my 1999 Eclipse GST and man does it help keep the front end on the ground and prevents wheel hop
Great job Shawn 👍 nice vid as always guys
thats fantastic engineering man very informative thank you
Damn that's some great fab work!! Keep up the great content
Dope work Brent love what you do man!
Insane skills brother.
Oath boys that's how it's done!
How are you going to get any traction with out radius rods?
How strong of a welder do I need to weld a wright plate to the trac bar?
Awesome job Shawn
Is there a reason u didnt use the tig for the weight plate
Epic fab work, but damn, I wish that turbo was clocked and a single 45deg straight into that intercooler.
Nice stuff mane love your work pfi keeps me going
Shawn your awesome bro your funny and you show everybody how to build heavy duty bad ass hot rods. #pfispeed #shonuff
Lmk if you ever need an “apprentice” 😂 Id kill to have small projects like this to knock out all day!
Good stuff i put a 80lb weight bar for my 260hp all motor car
Did you improve ur 60ft with the plate fitted ?,
Maz Broon ohh yeah way better now it hooks with the mickey thompsons too
Curious why the 16v as opposed to 12v

@@jdownj , It is also used so you don't have to run an alternator. Less parasitic loss on the engine and also less weight.
Shawn's a beast

Your Fab work is awesome💪much love
Brent does a better joker laugh then Joaquin Phoenix lol
Fab skills always on point killed another job
Ladies if Shawn’s fab skills doesn’t make your drawers damp, you need to check your priorities.
