Be careful. Pod filters aren't too great either... The foam ones that require oil work good if they are not having sand sprayed on them, but my ssr 125 had sand sprayed on it and even with an oiled foam filter, the cylinder got scratched up

Yeah a little oil would catch the dirt correct. These bikes have poor filtration
For sure you can tell on alot of Chinese bikes that an airfilter was the last thing they considered when making it

What size piston was it
