Just to add a little more detail to using the fan to clear the system. Put the fan on max speed, change the climate to face level, put it on recirculation, close all but one central vent and then quickly close the final vent. The aim is to create an overpressure that blows the condensed water out of the system. You can also feel the funneled area where water collects above the footwell by pulling the carpet back. Give the funnel a few hard smacks and it will encourage the water out. I got a wet footwell just a few weeks ago and this has cleared it. For now! As ever, Bruce, another excellent video.
Thanks so much for adding your extras. That helps people so much. I like what you say. It is so logical to have a sudden pressure change by closing the last vent. Well done.
Is this the right order? 1. Turn air temp as low as possible. 2. Climate to face level. 3. Put on recirculation 4. Close all but one central vent. 5. Fan on max. 6. Quickly close final vent. 7. Run fan for 5 min. 8. Give funnel a few hard smacks .
@@inthelionsden6335 yep that's about it. Sometimes it can clear without banging the funnel. You can only get to the funnel by pulling the carpet back and removing cover that sits over the fan. There are a couple of clips that hold that cover on.

@@xk-r-us thanks. I panicked when I first found how wet my carpet was. Must have been dripping for a while. I've got a 2007 4.2 XKR.
