Didn't know about the reverse lights trick! I'll try mine in a minute see if it works. Do you have any vids on using the USB socket for a phone? Mine is a 2010 model 5.0 NA and I can't seem to work out how to dock my phone or use it to play music etc. The previous owner managed it but he had an iPhone and I have a Samsung Galaxy so maybe that's the issue? Any help from anyone would be very welcome
As far as the phone goes. It's best to use an iPod connector cable with a lightning plug on the other end. This may work: Lightning Female to 30-Pin Adapter, Apple MFi Certified 8-Pin Female to 30 Pin Male Connector iPhone Charging Sync Adapter for 30 Pin Docking Stations Compatible with iPhone 4/4s/iPad/iPod Touch
Also you need to connect the bluetooth: 1. Ensure that the ignition is on and the touch-screen is active. 2. Ensure that there is no mobile phone currently docked with the vehicle's Bluetooth® system. If a mobile phone is docked with the system, you will not be able pair and dock another phone until the current phone has been undocked. To undock a phone, select Phone on the home screen, then Settings and then Undock. 3. Using the mobile phone, search for Bluetooth® devices. See your phone's operating instructions for further information. 4. When the vehicle's Bluetooth® system is discovered, your mobile phone will list Jaguar as a Bluetooth® device. Select this device from the list. 5. You will now be requested to enter a Bluetooth® PIN. When pairing and docking from your mobile phone, this number is always 1313. Once your phone is paired to the vehicle's Bluetooth® system, it can connect automatically. If the phone does not automatically connect, you will have to connect manually with the Jaguar Bluetooth® System, via the mobile phone. Please consult the mobile phone
I'm baffled. The reverse light trick doesn't work on my XK here in the UK. If pressing the button once turns the front lights on and pressing it twice turns the reverse lights on, how do you turn the front lights off because on my fob pressing the button twice just turns the front lights off!
This is the process. Click the button once. The headlights turn on. Wait a second or so and click the button again to turn the lights off. Double-click the button to turn the headlights on and then off at the same time as turning on the reverse lights. Click the button again, and the reverse lights turn off. The trick is the length of time delay between the first and the second press of the button.
@@xk-r-us OK, have tried again, 100% does not work on my car. I forget what it was now but there was another trick on the car a while back that you showed and that didn't work either. I think some of these things could be country/market specific, or maybe model/year specific. If anyone else in the UK can get the reversing lights trick to work from the key fob, please post here and let me know.
