My best advice (as an old, old 30 year old) is to try your best to be kind to yourself in your own head. Even in situations where you're totally aware that you're anxious and what's causing it, is that self-talk that of like 'come on, this is so stupid, why do I have to feel this way'. It doesn't have to be extreme self affirmations or anything - just doing your best to turn that into something more like 'Ok, I'm feeling this way and it sucks. But that's ok, I'm only human, and I'll get through this and it isn't permanent."
Trevor, the social anxiety doesn't really ever go away. The more you feed it, the worse it gets. Half the battle is acknowledging the feeling and not letting it prevent you from doing things. Surrounding yourself in an accepting community also helps as well. Identifying toxic friends and or toxic traits that trigger anxiety and limiting the time you spend with them helps.
Jamie made the most astute point about that has never crossed my mind in the nearly 33 years of my life when she brought up the idea of walking into public and believing that nobody has a positive thought about you. I’ve never once thought about how silly that is. Sometimes it takes a point like that to make you say “wow, that’s what I’ve really believed all my life, and it’s stupid”
I just started listening to this podcast and I skipped around for sure. First off shot of you, Trevor. You explained what it is to have mental illness. A d gotta it can so easily dictate your entire life. And going to the old people sh*t, they were told they can't be mentality weak. Then to Jamie, thank you so much for validating this. This has become my favorite podcast. Listening to Josh be real. I pray that one day I pursue my passion of music strong enough to be a guest. I love you Trevor. You gave a voice to the mentally ill. And it means so much
First episode I’ve watched of your podcast. Love your work in GMM and MK. I loved watching this episode because you do come off as a really confident person on screen, so it’s reassuring to hear that you have insecurities like the rest of us. You add so much to the Mythical crew! I’ll be going back to watch the rest! Love the solo act, because I came here to see more of you, but I don’t have a frame of reference yet.
Hey Trevor! Just commenting to say I loved listening, it makes me feel more human and just normal, and I get to just laugh along for a good time. Really makes my nights and days better, same goes to you Jamie!! Appreciate you both.
It was really nice to listen to this, because I've struggled with the same issues my entire life. People definitely don't talk about this stuff enough 💜
Just subscribed. You are amazing! I love when you show up on anything GM* my face lights up! This is coming from an old dude, I'm a huge fan and glad that you are sharing yourself with the world! When you feel like people are staring at you and talking about you, it is probably because you are awesome!!! Thank you for talking about this stuff and your overwhelming honestly.

I honestly really enjoyed this solo podcast. I’m looking forward to more solo ones.
I know this isn’t the standard format of the podcast, but I loved this episode
