Thank you so much, Brent! Once again, I would like to state the fact that your lessons are effective. Learning English with you is definitely not an exercise in futility
You've literally put it under the microscope, Brent! Great way to get an insight into the US election system. And beefing up the related vocab a5 the same time. Killing two birds with one stone( hawks and doves😂) Thanks)
Thanks a lot for your talented teaching and for providing us American latest news at the same time 😊 By the way, what was the tense in the sentence you used 'if they would have won, you would have heard...'? Is it mixed conditional or something else? Could I say instead 'if they had won, you would hear...' and get the same meaning?
@@AmericanEnglishBrent Thanks for your response, but in this case it will be a sentence in a third conditional tense which is for situations in the past only.

I think you need to have that second "have" in that sentence. It doesn't quite sound right without it.

Wonderful
Are foes, enemies and adversaries synonyms or are there (slight) differences?
They're synonyms.
@AmericanEnglishBrent Good to know. Thank you. ❤

Your present Secretary of State seems to have a gaslighting role. Admittedly this statement does not reflect a neutral or diplomatic position.
