What's your stance on the Bitcoin technology? And what would it take to change your mind? 🤔
I dont understand why we don't have more competitors in the ASIC manufacturing space for BTC. It makes mining very difficult to get ahead.
I've seen this book on X a lot the past few days which got me here, fantastic review! Looking forward to reading it when it arrives 👍
This book was mind-blowing to me. I have bought Bitcoin in 2018, and 2022 before. Basically because it was in vogue, and I wanted to see what it was about. Of course I sold it eventually because it was too volatile for risk tolerance.
When I read The Bitcoin Standard (along with hundreds of ours of other resources) I finally understood Bitcoin in a deeper way and it reorganized my whole worldview. And honestly, it gave me hope. Loved the book. Laser eyes activated 😆
I hope you enjoy the book!
excellent review
Thank you! This topic is a bit outside of the core topics I cover on the channel, hence I appreciate you supporting this video. I think Bitcoin, and money in general, is important when studying human nature, since it brings some core traits of humanity to the surface; greed, fear, power, the need of feeling safe, and the importance of storytelling and narratives.
Have a great weekend!
Thank you a lot for this video. Suggestion for a future book: "Broken Money" by Lyn Alden.
It’s already on my list. Would they be very similar, or do they compliment eachother? Thanks for the recommendation. 😀
@@BookLabBjorn I consider Broken money as an "evolved version" of Bitcoin Standard.
Both follow the same approach (starting with economic concepts, and converging to Bitcoin only at the end).
Bitcoin Standard is an excellent introduction to the subject (great for beginners). Broken money dive much deeper. For me, it's hard to re-read Bitcoin Standard after having read (twice) Broken Money ;)
@@jybevox that’s great news. I was just beginning to learn when I started the Bitcoin standard in Jan/feb. I have done a lot of research since then, read the white paper, read and watched information like a madman for the past 3 months. I might be ready for Lyn’s book now. I appreciate her take on money. I’ve seen of few of her videos already. 👍🏻
Would you advise reading Broken Money over The Bitcoin Standard? I recently read Digital Cash: The Unknown History of the Anarchists, Utopians, and Technologists Who Created Cryptocurrency and wasn't a big fan of it, but I loved reading The Cryptopians by Laura Shin.
And have both The Bitcoin Standard and Broken Money on my list to buy, but if there similar to Digital Cash I might not enjoy
How do I buy
The book? I got the physical book of Amazon and there is an audiobook version on Audible. 😀
Hi i recommend u to read big debit crisi by ray dalio.
Cool! fascinating! A frightening read? Adding it to my list
