It's a name of a character from "One Thousand and One Nights". The funny thing though is that "baba" in Polish is also a mean way to say "woman" (something like "hag" in English, it's often associated with an old woman) so in the end the hobo said he wouldn't let a hag (he wouldn't let some "baba" win) so he changed the ending xD
