DIA’s Beyond the Beltway: U.S. Southern Command

In this Beyond the Beltway episode, DIA takes a behind-the-scenes look at U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), located in Miami, Florida. One of nine combatant commands integral to DIA’s global presence, SOUTHCOM provides contingency planning, operations and security cooperation in Central America, South America and the Caribbean (except U.S. commonwealths, territories and possessions). Follow a DIA employee as she talks to SOUTHCOM employees about the Crisis Action Center, support to Haiti and other humanitarian assistance efforts, key leader engagements to share intelligence information and common concerns, and how members from across the intelligence community come together to support the SOUTHCOM mission.

It's a nice place,but to me it just seemed like places it exist but really have no objective because the same personal stays and really doesn't do that much but because certain things have to exist it doesn't mean that much because it just has to be do to population control and other factors....
