Your bakes are on point. I have been looking for a real bake recipe with texture for a long time. Your bake is truly the bake of yesteryear. It has texture inside and still allow you to add filling. The bakes that i see posted by some are hollow, that is not the bake. Thank you for staying true to the recipe and execution of fry bake.

Omg i have been searching TH-cam since forever to learn a really quick and easy way to make fried dumplings( how we call them where I’m from) and I just couldn’t get it right. I never gave up and searched again and because found your video and because I love corn beef as well I clicked on it. I did everything you said in your video and right as I’m typing this in your comments my fried dumplings are super delicious, fluffy and nice. Finally, I found a way to make them, thanks to you. One thing I notice about Caribbean TH-camrs making recipes is that many of them don't include measurements, but the first time I tried barra for doubles, it was from a Trini who gave no measurements. That barra was tasty though. It's the Caribbean way. Just "try a ting" as the Trini put it.

Your bakes ( johnny cake looks so delicious) I always sift the flour when i'm baking but if you dont put in enough baking powder it wont come out fluffy either. I made this the other day and normally I succeed with my bakes but this time it came out too flat it tasted good otherwise. I believe not enough baking powder. I see you added yeast as well. Never tried that.
This is really what you call STUFFED BAKES.. Nice, fluffy golden brown and actually stuffed with corned beef and not them kinda hard bakes with half a spoon of corned beef in it.
The corned beef looks good but fried buns, too oily cuz the corned beef has already fat in it. Best to use baked buns than fried ones for health reason and your corned really looks yummy😊♥️♥️♥️!!! I tried making these but the middle did not rise in the bake. So although they tasted delicious and puffed up nicely, they weren't fluffy in the middle. Would you mid telling where I when wrong? I made 2 separate batches and they both did the same thing.

I continuously pour hot oil over it whilst frying and also turn them to gradually build the color I want.
