greetings and love from germany again...well, i am not a big gamer...but i know and love the Halo theme....great that you give it a try.... i remember that my cousin had the ´Ping´ game console back in the seventies, and in the early eighties we played alot the "Atari VCS" and "Atari 2600", with games like Pitfall, Frogger, Moon Patrol...wow, brings back nostalgic memories...thank you and stay safe, buddy

@@justdave9610 thanx for your feedback...i´ve already checked that...great talents, but it didnt really touched me,,dont know excactly why, i guess its because i just love instruments so much...listening to strings, like cello or violine, a great piano....thats touched me deep, you know...great musicians like Liszt, Paganini, Lang Lang..ect....but my favorite is still the outstanding guitar skills of Mr. Gary Moore, damn..i saw him once live here in germany 1989...unforgetable expirience...i literaly die when i listen and watch his live performence of "The Messiah will come again" in Montreux 1990....unreal.

I was personally at this Gaming in Symphony concert when it was recorded. It was an awesome experience and I'll never forget it.
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra is under Denmarks Radio, which is the national Danish main media company funded by the Danish media tax. So every single Dane is in some way paying for them to he this good. The funding is also why they can have in-ears, the productions are prestine etc.
They always look like they are enjoying these concerts, which is most probably why it's so great, besides them being insanely talented.
I've also been to the Galaxyphony and Fantasymphony concerts which was music from space related movies like Star Wars, Interstellar, Blade Runner and Fantasy movies like Lord of the Rings, Willow etc. all of them exceptional.

Yeah, it can definitely be a fun orchestra, but to be fair they usually only do a couple of these theme shows per season. The vast majority of the time, they’re doing traditional classical concerts. It’s a well funded orchestra owned by the Danish national TV and radio broadcaster with a very modern state of the art concert hall, which is purpose bullt for broadcasting and recording for the benefit of the general public. This also explains why they’re also doing more like this and not just traditional classical music, as their mission is to bring music to everyone.

The best gaming soundtrack was from PONG in 1976. It went...bleep....bloop ...bleep ....bloop every time the ball hit the little paddle. Truly spectacular. I exaggerate, but back in the early to mid 70's, ANY sound coming from the video games we played on our TV sets was jaw-dropping.

If you're a fan of gaming music in general, I'd highly recommend checking out the remasters/remixes that Frank Klepacki did with his band The Tiberian Sons when they remastered Command & Conquer. "Hell March," obviously, gets the most attention, but "Act on Instinct," "No Mercy," and of course "Command & Conquer" are both really cool renditions of game music classics redone. They do an amazing job of highlighting and celebrating Klepacki's wide range of influences and legacy as a game composer and musician.
