I was super disappointed with the gingerbread pod until i added some spiced brown sugar syrup! It’s brings out all the spice notes and now I love it.
I agree! I add brown sugar cinnamon syrup and cinnamon to the top and it’s better. But honestly both pods are pretty disappointing (compared to what I expected).

With the peppermint pinwheel it’s too mild for me so I amp it up with peppermint extract and chocolate or white chocolate! The gingerbread is very, very subtle almost to the point of tasting like a regular coffee! I still use your method and Griselda Ly’s method of adding spices to the frothed milk and vanilla or brown sugar cinnamon SF Torani! Thanks for sharing your opinion Alex!

For Peppermint Pinwheel, I got it last year and still had half a sleeve so you can tell I didn't love it too much. I do like to add some chocolate sauce or syrup to make it more like a peppermint mocha. I used to love to drink those from Starbucks before I got my Nespresso! The gingerbread pod, I totally agree, if I didn't know that it was flavored, I would think its a normal pod because the flavor is so subtle! I added the monin gingerbread syrup and it was still kind of blah to me. I actually loved your recipe and kind of prefer that method to make it taste more gingerbread-y.

I love the peppermint pod. It was such a weird idea for me that I had to try it. And I ended up adoring it. The gingerbread one I didn’t love until I started adding cinnamon to it. 😊

The pH syrups no doubt elevate every drink! I also added the Winter Mint to the Peppermint Pinwheel pod. It's a no-go for me, but I will finish the sleeve, as I love minty drinks. I'm going to try that combo of the pH Ginger and Monin Spiced Brown Sugar. Thx Alex!

I just tried the gingerbread pod yesterday with just milk and sugar. I was blown away with the ginger flavor, it was too strong for my liking, lol and I’m Indian, so I love ginger, especially in chai. That threw me off a bit but I still have plenty pods left in the sleeve, so I’m sure I’ll find my right flavor with some of the suggestions in the comments.

I had NO IDEA that peppermint pod was decaf/half.. I had decided that I wouldn’t buy the peppermint pod buttttt I’m shocked that you liked without milk, now I’m dying to try it lol.

The recovery from that slide across the floor was everything 😂. Glad you didn’t fall. I knew the peppermint pinwheel pod wouldn’t be for me. I’d rather use peppermint syrup with mocha sauce in a double chiaro pod. I have the Gingerbread pod and it’s pretty decent, I will finish the sleeve but likely won’t repurchase. Wow, so glad you posted this. I have both pods and I drink them with cream or milk and I can barely taste the flavor in either. So shocked the peppermint pinwheel is half caf - I had no idea! So disappointed in the peppermint I was really expecting more.
Yeah they are not the best but spicing them up with syrups def helps
I bet the gingerbread pod would be really good with Pink House Alchemy's pH Delight syrup, too, with that cinnamon-y flavor mixing with the gingerbread spice!

I like the peppermint pod I add peppermint flavor and Monin peppermint syrup alone with coco and creamer so good on a cold winter night. Not yet tried ginger bread yet. ☕️

I definitely did not enjoy the peppermint pinwheel, not even with peppermint syrup. However, I do love the gingerbread pod with my Monin gingerbread syrup! I have now ordered the gingerbread pod twice.

Hi Alex, I’m new to the Nespresso fam and purchased my vertuo plus last week (waiting to receive) however I’ve seen a couple videos specially since I love lattes and starting to want to make my own I did watch the depth video of pods and what their used for to brew along with what you recommend to pair with.... would you be able to make a video for beginners who are learning to start which pods with syrups and , milks you would recommend for people (like me) who love lattes but don’t drink them on the daily but want to make them at home...not sure if you have one already maybe I’ve missed it thank you! ❤️
Maybe in the future, for no might I suggest watching a lot of my older videos as I touch on that kinda stuff on each one little by little
I loved your reactions, sadly I live in Europe and we don't have these pods here. I tried Monin's gingerbread syrup and I love it, especially paired with the OL cocoa truffle pod. That's my favourite recipe for a gingerbread latte. I'm very curious what you will think of the OL forest collection, I'm really tempted to try one of the pods but still undecided which one, so hopefully you will do a taste test of those.
The fruit one was very yummy, I believe most of them are gone now. Didn’t get to try almond and haven’t tried forest

Hi Alex great suggestions. I didnt care for the Gingerbread pod. I am a pumpkin spice and Gingerbread spice lover so this pod was blah. It's also a pricey sleeve.

With all of the different reviews I’m seeing on gingerbread I am honestly starting to think the batches may have been different. I’ve seen several people post on Reddit or YT that theirs was really strong and other people say theirs was not there at all. I love the peppermint and pair it with a dash of peppermint mocha creamer, Soo good, I could drink it black as well though.
I can see that happening. Nespressos quality has proven to be inconsistent across the board

Years ago way before Nespresso…I stopped at McDonalds and got their peppermint mocha, stupid me I thought it was going to be coco well it wasn’t. After I tasted it I tossed it.

I disliked the peppermint pinwheel. Then I tried it with coconut milk, dark chocolate syrup and a crushed after eight and completely changed my mind

Every holiday they have some holiday pods. They don’t really do sales on coffee, but if you buy a lot of sleeves sometimes you get one free which is kinda lame
The peppermint pinwheel was delicious for me, and I added some peppermint syrup for some added ‘oomph’ 😂 But the gingerbread was a massive let down sadly

At this point it just really depends what you prefer as a coffee drinker I did advise in the video against the vertuo next though and yes you order the pods straight from espresso Amazon has them but they’ve arrived damaged before so I stopped buying them from them
Gingerbread is completely sold out where I am and the peppermint is sold out online :(
