We are finally reviewing the Nespresso Pumpkin Spice Cake Pod for 2021. I have tried this pumpkin spice cake pod from previous years but I couldn't remember my thoughts on it. So here I am taste testing and putting it to the test in 3 different drink variations to give it a fair shot. Have you tried this yet? What are your thoughts on it?

Great review! Thanks for trying it the various ways. I think you’re totally right that it’s the creamer giving it the flavor and not the pod. I got that creamer and used it with stormio today and I thought it tasted delicious- just the right amount of pumpkin spice.

Great review. I'm new to Nespresso, just bought a vertuo machine and I LOVE your videos ❤️. I've not tried this coffee yet. As I said, I'm new to nespresso but are you able to brew this one as a double espresso size, would that make the flavours more concentrated or does it not work that way?

I love this video I tried mine today hot I'm going to try an iced one before I go to work tonight. I love how you demonstrated this whole thing also what is your pretty nail Polish? it looks very fall I just ordered a lot of the new China glaze ones but I do my own nails because I don't have them done but I love everybody's nail Polish.

I just tried it yesterday for the first time. I made it and did a smell/taste test before I put anything in it. I decided to just use sugar and cinnamon but I thought it was delicious. It didn’t smell or taste much like pumpkin but the spice flavor profile was great. Just wish it was fully caffeinated but I definitely enjoyed sipping on it for my evening coffee.

In a good way, that is! Your reviews are always really detailed and specific. And very honest. You and I differ on this one, though, and that’s fine. (I am bummed about the half-caff aspect - but again, you are right to make sure folks are aware of it!)
I like that the pod is a lighter roast. I don’t think I’d like a darker roast with the spices. It reminds me of pumpkin pie with whipped cream - the cream really sets off the spices for me.
(And I hope your floor is OK. Ha.)

I remember I was on the same boat, I wasn’t jumping from excitement with the taste. Granted - I was only using it with milk and sugar, no syrup. I honestly couldn’t wait until I finished all of the pods in the sleeve. Maybe I’ll give another go but get that silk creamer 🤷🏻♀️

I just ordered a couple of sleeves my initial thought was to drink in the evening and relax so I’m a lil happy that it’s a halfcaf but also a little bummed I can’t have it early in the morning to get my day up and going. Anyway great review love you’re videos! ♥️

I got them right just as i found your video and we dont have creamer here so i was kinda annoyed because the flavour wouldnt come through when milk is added but i found that adding oat milk and a bit of nutmeg really helped!

That is one of my favorite milks to use as well (the zero sugar oat)but I have noticed sometimes the oat flavor with zero sugar did nothing for certain pods. I’m curious to see what a regular dairy milk or soy would taste like. A milk that is a little naturally sweeter. I have just recently tried the “blue diamond Almond milk vanilla with a hint of honey” and it is delicious! I haven’t tried it in a latte yet but used it in my smoothies, oatmeal, and on its own. You can really taste the hint of honey so I’m excited to try it with coffee.

I was so excited about this pod….but disappointed! Even hot I don’t feel like it tastes very pumpkin-y or spicy. Not worth the hype or the price. Ugh!! I agree with you 100% and think the best is with a frothed pumpkin spice creamer and topped w pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon. Won’t buy it again tho. At least the pods look pretty in my jar on my counter! Haha.

I bought 20 capsules yesterday… in fairness, I think you read from the box that Nespresso recommended a *dash* of milk. Maybe half a cup was too much for the flavor profile? I was disappointed that the cost is $2 more than last year’s release. Especially due to the hype. Thanks for the review!

Have you tried the pod with your pumpkin foam that you created?
I probably won’t since I didn’t like it iced on its own, im sure it’ll taste better since the cream is glorious but I prefer that with ice Forte

Do you think the type of milk you’re using might affect the taste? Sometimes when I use certain milks wit my favorite pods it changes the flavor.

Does anyone know if it was half caf last year? I guess I should read before buying. I’m definitely a “basic” chick 😂😂 for my pumpkin spice but decaf coffee makes me nauseous. I’m hoping this doesn’t since I purchased multiple packs because I was extra excited 🤦🏾♀️

I totally agree that Nespresso should have advertised this as a half caff. I also agree that it looses the flavors with milk. I am going to try it by stopping it early. It’s not my favorite pod either. Very accurate review thank you.

I saw a tip under the pod app and it states “pour 2tbs of white chocolate sauce into bottom of mug,add frothed milk to glass, brew capsules over it and drizzle with caramel sauce or more white chocolate sauce” ..I immediately thought of you since you have all the sauces need for this recipe 🤩

I like it. I like it black or with my oat milk. I never sweeten my coffee but I’ll occasionally use a flavored creamer.
I will say, I love Nespresso coffees but this is the only pod I’ve tried that I can actually taste the flavor. Even if it is just spices, I can smell and taste them. Normally Nespresso flavors just tasted like regular coffee to me.

I can’t drink hot drinks currently cause my pregnancy hormones does not like it but planning on drinking it iced! Ty for your honest review. I bought four sleeves and I really hope I don’t regret it! I also bought those iced cubes from Amazon which make huge difference not watering down the drink 😃

Great review, I'm super excited to get my hands on this pod, I 'am in the UK & we`ve only just been able to order it online today official release is tomorrow. I loved this last year I only learnt that it was a half café through an old listing that I recently came across which did really surprise me as I never guessed that
Okay so I guess I’m not gonna being buying this pod and I honestly was so excited for it (packaging usually gets me LOL) but I think I’ll just stick to other pods and then just add pumpkin creamers or syrups! It’s always been half-caffeine. I buy the monín syrup not the pumpkin pie one from monín. I’d get up to check but it’s almost midnight. It’s the new recipe pumpkin syrup. Anywho, my daughter loves the syrup with the pod and oat milk. I like it with half and half frothed in.

It’s soo good. Doesn’t taste bitter or artificial to me.. I use Chobani sweet cream creamer (dairy) , it’s perfect to me🤍✨
I also like that it’s half calf, because I can drink more😉 decaf doesn’t change the flavor. I’ve had some dark roast decaf from Whole Foods. And it’s bitter and strong, yet, it’s decaf.

I think I disagree with you. With the pumpkin creamer or half/half creamer. it taste really good! I’ve noticed it is kind of week of a coffee flavor, and definitely do agree with you with the The strong flavor of cinnamon and clove and cardamom. I don’t mind it so much I think this line came out pretty good. Last year, It was too strong for my taste and it was bitter. I don’t mind at all for something mid day type of treat. But, I definitely need to drink a stronger cup of coffee in the morning.

I made the recipe they have online on the Nespresso website and it’s 🔥I definitely wouldn’t recommend it iced though just like a lot of Nespresso pods shouldn’t be iced because it gets watered down

I used all my pods iced and used the frozen ice cubes 🧊 that doesn’t water down my ice coffee ….it always my fav and better that Starbucks for me at least! 🤤

It is a bland pod. I agree. I tried it last year and I did not love it. I won’t be repurchasing this year. I have pumpkin syrup I can use with other pods and tastes better.
