I love listening to you talk about your grandma's honeymoon scrapbook! I have my mom's who was married about the same time as your grandma! And I can so relate to your comment about oh, I could make a page where I came from, oh, I am all over the place. Sounds just like me! I don't know if you will read this as you made this 4 years ago, but thank you. I needed an easy way for a waterfall element for my junk journal.

I think she IS there giving you inspiration on all that goodness. I'm on the west coast and would certainly buy a stash of hallmark envelopes if you come across some. I may try this with book pages, sewing the edges. So fun....thanks!

This is a fun take on the waterfall technique! I've been making them in my journals for quite some time, but I haven't made pockets, so this is interesting...thank you for sharing!! I especially love the stitched one with fabrics, etc...mixed media all the way!! LOL!

I am going to try this and add to my family history notebooks.
When I really wish that my Mom or Dad or grandparents were here; it came to me that maybe they really are at those moments and that is why I feel that way.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, time, and talent!

Thank you for the video! I love that you showed three examples which I think really capture the creativity process. There is the "techniques" white envelope, then the "first attempt" colorful envelop, then the true art which is the inspired, full of memories and meaning-your lovely grandparent envelope.

Wow--I started out watching to see your waterfall technique but I really really enjoyed you talking about your grandparents. I was close to mine on both sides and enjoyed my times with them so hearing your memories brought back some of my own. Thank you. I like your art style and feel like it is very similar to mine. I like things not perfect and often see beauty in imperfection.

Gina, I made those "My Place in Space" books, too, only I used the KISS or PUSH book...11x17 paper, fold it like a hot dog, then fold on middle, cut down to 1st line, then PUSH the edges together to make an 8 page mini-book! I used those books for a LOT of things: vocabulary words, math vocabulary, geography (continents)...HA! I should make some and stick them in my journals!!!
