Arguably one of Michael’s most profound and deepest teachings. Gold dust. And if one applies these teachings in everyday life, one would truly live a fulfilled life. Thank you immensely.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Michael talks about the stored energy of past experiences that needs to be released to stop suffering.
I have been applying the principles, the techniques, and it is really difficult work to do.
I have released samskaras and joy I feel that I have never experienced before comes and goes as I practice and watch what pulls my attention away from joy by thoughts of the mind and feelings of the heart.
I am 77, every day is an incredible adventure.
I suffered from depression for several recent years.
      That will not happen again.

Big thank you for this potent message. I experience it as clarifying, grounding and affirming. I appreciate hearing the conceptual framework for the inner processing, stumbles, and tiny steps forward that I have been dancing with from the inside out. I exhale looong….thus discovering new inner space and possibility. Blessings

    Summary
    Sat Nam 🕉
    ### Michael Singer Summary (MSS)
In this talk, Michael Singer delves into the dynamics of inner energy, the struggles between the lower and higher self, and the importance of living in the present moment. Here's a detailed summary:
    #### **Express, Suppress, and Release**
    - **Expressing:** When faced with internal disturbances, expressing emotions like anger or fear might offer temporary relief but reinforces the reactive patterns, making it harder to transcend those emotions in the long run.
    - **Suppressing:** Suppression is compared to holding up a piece of plywood against the wind. It requires constant effort and doesn't solve the underlying issue. The suppressed energy remains and can grow stronger over time, eventually overwhelming the person when it resurfaces.
    - **Releasing:** True transcendence occurs when you release these energies by not engaging with them. This involves pulling back into the seat of self and allowing the energies to pass through without resistance. This process not only releases the trapped energy but also empowers the individual by restoring their internal strength.
    #### **Control vs. Surrender**
    - **Control:** Many people attempt to control their external environment to feel more comfortable internally. However, this is a losing battle because the outside world is constantly changing. Trying to control everything leads to frustration and a sense of drowning in the ever-shifting tides of life.
    - **Surrender:** Instead of trying to control or suppress these inner energies, Singer advocates for a practice of surrender. This involves letting go of the rope in the internal tug-of-war, allowing the energies to dissipate on their own. By not engaging in the struggle, you free yourself from the pull of these lower energies, leading to a natural state of peace and clarity.
    #### **Present Moment Awareness**
    - **Past and Future vs. Now:** Singer emphasizes that the only reality is the present moment. The past and future exist solely in the mind, and any engagement with them pulls you away from the clarity and truth of the now. The mind's preoccupation with what has happened or what might happen distracts from the reality that is right in front of you.
    - **Mind’s Distraction:** When the mind is involved with anything other than the present, it is reacting rather than experiencing. This reaction creates disturbance and obscures the clarity that comes from being fully present. The goal is to remain in the present moment, where the true self can act with clarity and purpose, free from the distortions of past memories or future anxieties.
    #### **Struggle, Tug-of-War, and the Seat of Self**
    - **Struggle:** The internal struggle occurs when the lower energies pull on the higher self, creating a tug-of-war. People often fight against these energies, but this only strengthens the attachment to them.
    - **Tug-of-War:** The key to overcoming this struggle is to stop engaging in the tug-of-war. By relaxing and releasing your grip on the rope (the attachment to the energies), you allow the higher self to transcend the lower energies.
    - **Seat of Self:** This is the state of pure awareness, where you observe the internal disturbances without engaging with them. From this seat, you can maintain clarity and act with inspiration rather than being driven by reactive forces.
    #### **Living True to Your Beliefs**
    - **Clarity and Pole Stars:** True beliefs and guiding principles, which Singer calls 'pole stars,' should be formed during moments of deep clarity, not in reaction to external events. These pole stars guide your life in a consistent and meaningful direction.
    - **Transcendence:** Living true to your beliefs requires transcending the lower self and its reactive energies. This is not about suppression or expression but about standing firm in the seat of self, allowing the higher self to guide your actions with clarity and purpose.
    - **Becoming an Instrument of the Divine:** When you transcend the lower energies, you become an instrument of the divine will. This allows you to act in ways that uplift not only yourself but also those around you, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
Michael Singer's talk is a deep exploration of the inner dynamics that govern our lives and offers practical guidance on how to move from a reactive, lower self-driven existence to one that is inspired, clear, and aligned with higher truths.

I used to really like Michael’s words and work and they have value, but I feel his perspective on life is very narrow. There is nothing wrong with wanting to achieve and it does not mean that people don’t have pole star. Simple expansion of life experience is a worthy goal. S1 of this podcast was great. Within the first 5 minutes I found him to be kinda judgemental of others who aren’t on the spiritual path
