A treadmill exercise stress test is used to determine the effects of exercise on the heart. Exercise allows doctors to detect abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) and diagnose the presence or absence of coronary artery disease.

This test involves walking in place on a treadmill while monitoring the electrical activity of your heart. Throughout the test, the speed and incline of the treadmill increase. The results show how well your heart responds to the stress of different levels of exercise.
A technologist will explain the test to you, take a brief medical history, and answer any questions you may have. Your blood pressure, heart rate, and electrocardiogram (ECG) will be monitored before, during, and after the test.
You will be asked to remove all upper body clothing, and to put on a gown with the opening to the front.
Adhesive electrodes will be put onto your chest to capture an ECG. The sites where the electrodes are placed will be cleaned with alcohol and shaved if necessary. A mild abrasion may also be used to ensure a good quality ECG recording.
Your resting blood pressure, heart rate, and ECG will be recorded.
You will be asked to walk on a treadmill. The walk starts off slowly, then the speed and incline increases at set times. It is very important that you walk as long as possible because the test is effort-dependent.
You will be monitored throughout the test. If a problem occurs, the technologist will stop the test right away. It is very important for you to tell the technologist if you experience any symptoms, such as chest pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath, or extreme fatigue.
Following the test, you will be asked to lie down. Your blood pressure, heart rate, and ECG will be monitored for three to five minutes after exercise.
The data will be reviewed by a cardiologist after the test is completed. A report will be sent to the doctor(s) involved in your care.

Sir meri CT coronary angiography me lad 95 blockege hai...but me bengalore satya shai supar speciality hospital me tmt karbaya dr bole angiography ke jarurat nahi hai...keya CT coronary angiography report galat ati hai...
TMT normal hone par bhi blockage ho sakta hai. Go as per advise by your cardiologist and angioplasty if needed.

1.5mm slow up sloping ST depression noted at peak exercise.
1mm Horizontal ST depression noted in recovery.
Normal chronotropic response.
Normal blood pressure response.
Fair effort tolerance.
My age is 63. I had gone through angiography and had a stant in 2021. It routine follow up my TMT test results are as above. My lipid,ECG, BP, chest XRay, sugar and other blood tests are fully OK. Should I go for angiography again? Kindly suggest me.
In this scenario, a non invasive CT coronary angiography is advised. You should maintain a healthy lifestyle. Annual check ups with a CT cardiac angiography would be the best considering your history.
Echo normal hai to heart me koi problem to nhi hona chahea
Lipid profile and TMT test also should be done to be very sure.

Sir my concern is I sometimes have minor chest pain it is not usually present but I have persistent mild ,sweet type and sometimes stinging type pain on my left neck ,back of shoulder ,jaw and left arm .
Sir my pain is not increasing on Exertion or going up .Sir I I have this problem since 2015 and I did 12 ECGs, 3echo ,lipid profile and 1TMT till now but their result is normal but still I have problem.
Sir what to do kindly give me suggestions as my quality of life has been ruined......

This may be a Cervical nerve root pain. You can get MRI Cervical spine done, physiotherapy and muscle relaxation might help.

Sir mera ecg , tmt , echo , lipid ok hai kaha doctor ne fir bhi mujhe chest and arm pains hota hai aur stiff neck to kya ye heart related nai hai??

Unlikely to be heart related. Muscular spasmodic pain hona chahiye. Just do regular exercise or yoga and consult a orthopedics doctor.
Im having problem exactly like you and done 12 ECGs ,3 echo and TMT and lipid too but they are norma😢😢😢
