Sikaflex for the win. We own an Airstream, and I must say it has been the best quality camper we have owned. However there are a ton of shaving in ours. But it is an Aluminum trailer. No one cleans up after theirselves.
@@robertknasel2270 It’s a shame that they don’t a better job of clean up. I’ve had a Northernlite camper and an Aliner too and they all had some clean up from manufacturing that wasn’t done.
Yeah, it is sad but at least it’s little things and not something huge like a window falling out. I wouldn’t buy another one though unless it was used and dirt cheap but that would probably be a rebuild at that point.
Did you walk through factory and look at other builds in progress? Before you purchased? I have not purchased one yet but I have been through their factory several times looking at the quality in progress.
@@josephbullock1296 I did not. I’m located over 700 miles from the factory so I had to order mine through a local dealer. They are very solid units but it’s little things that could be better. One thing I failed to mention too was that when it rains the water tends to drip off the roof right in the middle of the driver and passenger doors. Would have been nice if they added a channel up top to direct water onto the windshield instead of into people as they enter and exit the vehicle.
Those look like they have a lot of options for building them out. I was worried about being too wide though since it’s kinda brushy where I go sometimes. So far I have had zero issues with the canvas even after bumping into a tree.
@@nealamesbury7953 Yeah definitely not something I wanted to find. They are solid units just some little things they can do better. Make sure yours is sealed properly before heading into the wet weather.
Will Scott it looks like it's reseal time for the old camper top I hope you get it all sealed up enjoy your video God bless you Jake McClellan the Oregon boy😊😊😊
Wow, you work very hard for your money, long hours and days doing a good job for the customer and everything you buy is cheaply constructed and expensive. On the up side it looks like you can finish up the camper where they left off.
Yeah I think a lot of the RV industry (especially the big brands) have rushed to just get units out. At least it’s a solid unit and there haven’t been any roof leaks even after hitting a tree.
It’s shocking some of the fails of the RV industry, at least my issues were small and I could easily fix them myself. Gorilla tape is amazing, I used it one time to fix a gutter and it held up for years.
This is why I got an ovrlnd camper instead. I drove to Flagstaff to pick it up myself and saw how folks build it. It is much smaller of a factory but QA is better.

Wow, pretty sad. They are not cheap either. No Quality Control looks like.

That canvas is exactly why I went with the Moonlander topper!!

Raining inside - not inspiring. I have an install appt.

Yup definitely something to keep an eye on. I’m sure if I lived in a desert environment I probably wouldn’t have noticed for a long time.
Ok my bad I can hear you now
That’s good. I thought I may have goofed up the audio, wouldn’t be the first time.
Tom ran a tighter ship.

Gorilla tape, ya ha! Carry a roll with me! Surprised at the lack of QA. Watch a couple of RV ratings to cheer yourself up!

Scott we cannot hear anything of what you are saying brother or at least I can’t. Lol
Uh oh
Four wheel camper fails a lot of people. No QC. I am glad to se others have the same issues. Shame on you for your money grabs FWC.
Yup, companies just want to push units out and they take shortcuts to get there. If and when I ever buy another camper it will be a different brand.

@@theinfinitymachine9610 Yup smaller companies are better. They know that they need to have good quality to build a good reputation.
