Congratulations Rachel. You did very well in this quiz. Trust me, most Malaysian citizens will not have got the answers correct as many are lost with history and geography. You answered with great confidence. I salute you. Since you are an American why don't you test Logesh by asking him the same questions about California / the USA ? :-) Thank you Logesh and Rachel for all your fascinating , interesting and down to earth videos. You both are an amazing young couple and mixed marriage couples can learn alot from you. God bless you both and your adorable boys.

Been following the Kumaar’s for some time and I applaud to Rachel for her unbiased attitude from food tasting/testing to questions on Malaysia. Like that person who got Rachel to taste some of the food dishes he gave her from East Coast. He himself acknowledged that he had not tried or tasted the dishes. Rachel gave a very diplomatic opinion on stuff thrown to her. And in this video I believe she should now ask questions to Kumar on America, since he living permanently there. Just being fair to be honest.

Also a trivia: The 'Mat' from Mat Salleh is a shortened version of the name Muhammad. While 'Minah' from 'Minah Salleh' is shortened from the name Aminah.
Probably since both names are popular among Malays especially back in the days due to Islamic influence. Muhammad is the name of the last Islamic prophet while Aminah is the name of prophet Muhammad's mother.
Muslims use these names to potray their love for the prophet peace be upon him.

My high expectation for Rachel is want her need to keep and keep practicing in Malay.Hopefully someday she will became the first American woman that can speak fluently in Malay like Rhys William & Mark O'Dea did before.I'm really hope so.Practice always makes perfect so don't ever give up!

31 Aug 1957 was not Malaysia’s independence day. It was the day the States in the Peninsular aka Malaya, got independence from Britain. Malaysia’s day was on 16 Sept 1963.

We also called layang-layang (Kite) but usually we called layang-layang (kite) for the small one. When we see the WAU, we didn't call it layang-layang. Automatically we call it WAU.
The size of WAU is bigger and more cultural, historical and a traditional game. The way to play with WAU, also the same like you play layang-layang (kite) .
Anyway, this video make me smile & laugh watching you guys doing this trivia. And it is funny watching Rachel answer those question. Good job Rachel !

Sabab and Sarawak are not States anymore and they are reinstated as regions on same par level as the entire West Malaysia. That was in the MA63 agreement that parliament reinstated recently.

    Kite = Layang-layang
The type of kite shown in your quiz is originally from Kelantan. It's known as Wau. The Wau shape has been used in our national airlines.. namely the MAS = Malaysian Airlines. So.. Next time if you flew back to M'sia.. do try MAS flight.. and you will see the Wau shape or Wau logo at almost the tail of the MAS aeroplane.. 🤭😁

Logesh, yg pulau terbesar tu salah.
Pulau Banggi di Sabah - 440.7km2
Pulau Beruit di Sarawak - 417km2
Pulau Langkawi di Kedah - 320km2
Borneo is actually an island. But it consist of 3 country - Malaysia, Indonesia & Brunei. So sebab tu x boleh dikira cause not the whole island is Malaysia.
    14 stripe represent 13 state & federal territories (KL,Labuan & Putrajaya)
So by this virtue, Rachel definately pass.Sbb bile soalan salah sepatutnya Rachel dapat free mark..
Tpi I agreed some Malaysian mungkin tak boleh jawap soalan di part 3 tu.
Btw, the Tanggal 31 song singer Arwah Datuk Sudirman Haji Arshad death anniversary is actually on 22 Feb 1992.
