- The Vanishing Point Filter and Perspective | Photoshop CC Tutorial | EASY
This Photoshop CC Tutorial discusses how to use the Vanishing Point Filter to add images, text and graphics to a photograph while maintaining proper perspective. This Photoshop tool allows us to create a simple grid and panels based on the perspective of your current image. Then, when we import other graphics/etc onto the same plane, they automatically distort, adjust and adopt the same perspective as the plane/grid (no matter where you move them). In this tutorial we will learn how to use "Vanishing Point" to add text and graphics on any surface with complex Perspective in Photoshop! We will also create multiple planes at different angles, use Blend If and Blend Modes to match added objects to the real image and how the perspective transform tool can be a quick alternative for some situations. This is EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!!! Thank you.
The concrete building example was exactly what I needed to create words on "rock" for my logo. This was easy to follow and easy to listen to because you don't have a bunch of distracting music and video editing that makes it difficult to watch. Clean and simple with a few extra tips is the PERFECT way to teach something. Defintely a thumbs up and subscription.
Great tutorial covering some scenes. Thank you.

Practice makes you learn a million tis faster. I learned that when I started.
Awesome.. I use to do it on the fly, it's really cool
how do you hide the grid on the layer after showing it ?
Hey, that's all cool and stuff, but what if i already put my logo in the vanishing point, closed the window. How can i resize the logo then? Or drag it to a other position without losing the benefit of vanishing point?
This man deserves more subs ez to catch up very well explained 👏👏👏
I appreciate that! Thanks for the support! 👍
another stellar video
This is the last video that I needed to transfer from my other channel...it had over 60k views, but I had to kill it and move it over here to this channel. Thanks for the support!
Thank you
Is it possible to resize the grid inside the box in just one axis? In the gallery example at 5:00 you can see that the grid elements aren't square, they're stretched horizontally. But there is just one grid size option for both axis...
This is a really great video. Thanks man
Glad you liked it!
amazing video
U gotta make it look so easy, thx bro!
No problem 👍
Awesome program
how about mixing to pictures of two separate people in two separate photos.
Is that possible to bring the people together into the same picture with the proper perspective?
(I realise the composition is a separate issue)

Is there not a way to keep typography live and editable... or it must be rasterized?
Goood Broo !!!! thx
no problem. thanks for watching!
Can adjust an image you already placed in the vanishing point?
Never better
Thanks Bro
No problem
Very helpful video, thank you! But what if I want to change the perpective or the pasted image position in the vanishing point window? Because once I left, I can not change anything. Did I do something wrong?
Same-it seems to be a very destructive tool, and you can't preserve anything using a smart object either. Super frustrating.
you record with hardware outside of the program. Great tutorial btw it was very detailed but still just right for beginners.
Yes, I use OBS studio to record my screen. Thanks for watching!
which app are you using
Hi! Was following the tutorial and I can't seem to create connecting planes..
im desperately trying to paste in a pattern to a vanishing point ive created. when i do so the vanishing point window just becomes white with the area in perspective marked in blue box... cant i paste patterns in vanishing points?
Thanks
No problem
thanks man I watched the whole video and is amazing, im having a problem pasting though. nothing I copy pastes. I make a new layer and make new vanishing points and nothing pastes. is there anything you can recommend doing? thanks!
hi i had the same problem, i was soo maddd at it. So i ve found out that you have to select the object with selecting tool
Did you try what Gia said? Try selecting the object/graphic/etc first, then copying, then pasting. Let me know if that works?
@@thisguydoesphotoshop I did but that didn’t work, I figured it out. Apparently, it’s not the same pressing at the layer/object and pressing command/control-C and then pasting
You have the press the layer/ object and then COMMAND/ CONTROL - A to Select ALL
And then paste.
@@Heyyluis This comment saved me, thank you!
The Vanishing Point tool is no longer in the Filters menu (PS 2022). And I can't find it anywhere.
supper
Молодец ты парень.
Где ты такому научился?
it worked with flat text, what about 3D text with vanishing point perspective to a wall?
To be honest, I've never really tried, so I don't know for sure. Sorry.
I did the first step, create a blank layer and i still don't have access to Vanishing point.. Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance
if I go with cmd+v the image disappears.... what can I do??
Try shift+cmd+v
My Filter / Vanishing Point is greyed out
I still can't get it to work for me.
Can't believe tNice tutorials is free
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching! 👍
every time i try and paste the image into the vanishing point tool, it wont paste
Uninstall your Photoshop & Reinstall it.. use 2020 to 2022 version.
You won't get VP after these versions, it transferred to 3D.
i cant paste on vanishing point help ?
Try selecting your graphic/image/etc before copying, then paste. See if that works?
Vanishing Point is greyed out for me...
I wish its get work
I like and hate vanishing point so much. Its like PS has this cool feature, but then strip away every cool tool when using this.
did not work even though did exactly the steps in order
Are you live?
Am I live?
what am I doing
I'm not sure?
Piedm
?
too laggy
This video sucks! How do I get the layer to show in the perspective layer
vanishing point filter sucks. all my shit is pixelated.
You are amazing... Sub sub sub!! 😻👍
I have some problems though. Render Grid to Photoshop is not working. It's not showing. I tried many settings but still no luck. Do you have any idea? Thank you!
Thanks for the sub!
Did you make sure to add a new blank layer first? It won't show up if you're selected on the text layer (I don't think). Let me know if that works/was the issue?
@@thisguydoesphotoshop thank u for a reply. I figured out after some googling. It happened to be that I have to turn off GPU acceleration in the performance setting and it will work only with the new document that create after i change to this setting. It’s so weird but yes it happened to my photoshop 🥲
