I own this Hoya because of you and got it locally as a 2 peduncle essentially fresh cut in a cup (bold, I know). I got it in January (?) and there are finally now about 3 new peduncles! It’s been rooting and I think it’s enjoyed the change in weather bc my cabinet is running closer to 80F lately. It’s such a cool Hoya
You're right, it's absolutely one of the more fun and interesting Hoyas. For whatever reason it branched on its own, so I've got around 30-40 peduncles and it's almost always blooming. Mine is thriving in pon-ish and self-watering. It's sun-stresses a bit, and even the blooms will show signs of the sun-stress. I could give it less light, but I'm not taking chances; it ain't broke, so I'm not going to try and fix it. A great addition to my Hoya collection which, of course, I first saw on your channel.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours! I loved the side view of the roots inside a tree, and the details about the history of the plant. I want one so bad, but haven't had luck finding one (NE US). Also the flower pics are gorge!
Fun Hoya but not easily found. Still searching! By chance do you have insularis? If you so you should feature it. Curious to know how you’re growing it 😊.
this is so scary 🙃 i was just contemplating getting this hoya today (with no prior interest at all) and wished you had a nice detailed video to help me 😆 so thanks, guess i'm buying it 🤔
Wow yes I think you’re right 🐞I’ve only been collecting Hoyas for 2 years now my Daughter got me HOOKED bout I found your videos and love them,🫶thanks!!! So I was looking up different types and saw the Spartioides and thought it was Pretty COOL 😎 now after see your take on it I Must find one and get it!! Keep up the great videos 🫶👌🏽🐞👌🏽
You are naturally funny. I chuckled a few times, but it seems like you don't even realize you are being funny. Very natural 😁 I do indeed not much care for this hoya 😶 Limited space here and I'm not going to give valuable real estate to a broom that only flowers when I sleep. However, I do appreciate the flowers from afar :)
I have one. It has been growing well, haven't been able to catch viewing the flowers! Good to know about keeping it in a small pot. Mine has been in ambient room condition s very close to a grow light
The spartiod and Linearis are on my wishlist. I have a retusa that had pest problem when I got it and it took me a year of treating it and it’s still in a baggie. I’m hoping shortly to be able to get it with my other Hoya but still keeping a watch on it for those spidermite spots to cease
"I'm at my current limit with 16 hoya... I'm at my current limit with 16 hoya..." LOL

This is one Hoya that I can never keep alive. The longest one I kept alive was 8 months. I really want to keep this plant.
