Don’t apologize for chopping and propping YOUR plants. You do what you think is the best thing you need to do for your plants best life. Is it hard to watch, a little but what really scares me is I would not remember who the heck I chopped and propped!! 😂😂
Oh Miro, when you said FU to something that fell over it made me snort-laugh! When objects fight me, I take it personal offense. Cussing at it seems to release some tension. 😅 🤬 Its kind of like warning the universe not to mess with me. 😂🙏😇
Love the long video! I'm super unorganized with my plant care. On my days off, I just walk around my house and water and repot as I come upon things. I do use an app to remind to to water plants as I have about 275 of them, and some like to be watered every 3 days and some every 3 weeks.
Loved the video and i am amazed how much you know about all your plants. You keep so much in your head. I like these types of videos. I get up close and personal with your collection. I applaud you for taking drastic measures with those hoyas that needed it. Have you tried insecticide for pests? I use it regularly and it seems to keep all the pests at bay. But i dont have as many plants as you-only about 60.
I have tried some systemic for mealies and it was super effective in the past - I didn't have them for years. I had to only use it that one time. But these seem more reselient. Pure evil! :D I wish we had predators here so I can lay back and let them feast...
I totally laughed out loud at 12:57 when you said, "Eff you" to the plant that fell over. I would have done the same, though possibly saltier. Mealybugs are the devil. I have been threatening my Krimson Queen with impending doom because I keep treating her and they keep reappearing despite the treatments and isolation. The only thing saving her (for now) is that I especially like the variegation on her. But my patience and willingness to keep trying is nearing an end. Really looking forward to the trellising video. I have several hoyas that need trellised or re-trellised, I have been procrastinating it for quite a while because I can't quite decide how I want to do it. Looking for some inspiration!
Like, how DARES she fall?! I 100% agree that mealies are the devil. And they are sooo persistent! I hope that the trellising video ends up actually being an inspiration rather than a hot mess 😂
Some of my plants don’t respond well to oil either. I follow all the directions as well. I think it clogs the stomata. If I have to use it, I give it time to do its job (smother) then rinse it off.
Miro, I’ve used this homemade pesticide on some plants and they seem to handle it ok, but I would always test it on one, due to different water/ ingredient quality One pint of water 1 Tbsp peppermint Castille soap 1 Tbsp tea tree shampoo 1/4 cup isopropyl alcohol 75% 1 tsp hydrogen peroxide 3 % The castille soap and alcohol seem to be the main pest eliminators. As for planning, the only thing I do to make sure I write down when I water the hoyas, or I’d mistakenly over and underwater them
Hi. You are an expert at Hoyas. I'm amazed how most of your Hoyas have bloomed. By the way After you edit and post the edited video, what do you do with the original videos? I'm asking just out of curiosity 😅
Miro said I need this …. lol. My multi floral - shooting star that I just got last month put out blooms half fell off and the other half have opened up. Super exciting as it only has 3 leaves
I like the longer video, it was Great. This month I have to do a bunch or re-potting, but I also need to order the pot's and soil, perlite, and some other things too. All expensive for me as well. I was thinking of putting some of my small HOYA CARNOSA COMPACTA in PON? What do you think? These ones were rescues from Mealy bugs, that I have been working with since this last Christmas. I bought all 16 that the nursery was going to throw out for 1.00 Canadian each. I love those kinds of Hoya's and couldn't stand to see them get dumped in the trash. BUT I would appreciate hearing from you about putting them in PON. Thank You. From ALBERTA CANADA.
Thank you for the video! Seems you are going to be busy! Hope the mealybugs will dissappear. I too have them in my collection and they keep on appearing...
My partner saw the patella pink flowers and says "wow!" followed by "damn, now I want icecream". I will now forever associate patella pink with icecream. Fortunately for my waistline, mine is a long way off being able to even produce a peduncle so that's good I guess 🥲
Never Apologize for longer videos....they are my Favorite! I appreciate them very much. Have a wonderful week
Haha I am glad you like them! :)
Same! Love them! Its more Miro and more plants!

Hi! :D I am glad to hear that 😂

@@BasiePlants ruthless! I love it! 🤣🤣🤣
I've already watched this one twice.
Haha. I laughed with you when you lifted the first Hoyas pot up with all those roots. 😅
I love your humor. You always cheer me up. 😊
I am glad
I really did NOT expect that.
You are such an inspiration!

Well done Miro! Thanks for another great video 🎉
Hey Miro, my hanihiae pink is looking like yours also. It looks like there is something wrong. But it blooms and live as it is lonbg time.
I think some clones just look weird like that. I have seen some that look normal, but have wider leaves.
Savage!🤣
Whooooo? Meeeee? No way.
Yaaaas, a video :D

I need hoya Patella!!
Hi Miro, great hoya chores video! Thanks for sharing. What is the organic media you are using? If cocoa chips, do you wash it to remove the salt?
Yes, I buffer coco husk. It's not enough to just wash it, it has to be soaked in a solution with CalMag.
❤❤❤❤

Hahaha 😂 But, that actually would be a great cultivar name! Hoya ‘Strawberry Ice Cream’. We must make it!
