Just think of the people who spend years, sometimes decades in isolation due to physical or mental conditions. I feel some sympathy for the people who were somewhat depressed in lockdown, but it's a single year of your life with reduced socialization, in the grand scheme of things it's not going to kill you and there are people in your community who have had it much worse for far longer.
The scene of the Dancing Priest dying of a heart attack is a sad reminder of Dermot Morgan's death nearly two years later. Followed by Frank Kelly's death 18 years after that. May the rest in peace.
I only just very recently stumbled upon this gem of a show and just watched the episodes paying no attention to the actors' names. So when I saw this comment I innocently googled 'Dermot Morgan'... Now I'm really sad. However, I will appreciate his contribution even more now.
