Fascinating insightful information on the ORIGINAL Oz Books and their reprints and variations!! If I had to pick which Oz Book/s to have as First Editions, I'd choose "Marvelous Land" (because of the endpapers and I believe there's one illustration cropped and unseen in its entirety with Books of Wonder) and "the Road to Oz" to better see the beautiful line artwork in better clarity! I've often wondered about the "Book Collector's Guide to L Frank Baum" book - thanks for the little look inside!
I have about 100 Oz books and would love to know more about what I have. I have multiple copies of most of them and they are all different!! Why did they have so many different copies of the same book?
Wish I had all of the first editions. Also that copy wizard of oz has some very darkened boards. As I’ve found out this is a very expensive enterprise to get into and I’ve only got two first editions as a result.
