Everyone scurrying to catch their train, except one gentleman who stops and walks over to hear your lovely playing. A perfect emotional bond between young and old, courtesy of Bach.
This is truly beautiful! I so love church organs and I hope that one day I would get the chance to play one :) Liked and subscribed!! Jesus bless you ✝️❤️
The mellow sound you hear is a factor of the stops the organist has drawn on. She's playing on flutes and principals. You get the blast effect of pipe organs when the organist adds reeds and mixtures (high pitched stops, that sound multiple pipes simulateneously). Judging by the size of the organ case there are likely few, if any, such stops on this organ. The reeds would be virtually impossible to keep in tune given the location of the instrument.
Correct. There is quite often somebody playing when I pass through the station. A similar organ has been installed in the Whitgift shopping centre in Croydon, but I have only once heard that one being played, by a boy who was probably aged about ten.
Where do you think it is then? It’s on the lower level of the station, in a passageway which used to be a road. It’s been there for bout two years now. The same people have installed a similar organ in the Whitgift shopping centre in Croydon.
@@srfurley I take that all back soz.. I've played the station piano at Glasgow (? can't remember somewhere in Scotland). Pretty brave of me, I hate playing in front of people, but I did Chopin Op 9 No. 1
A charity led by one of UK's leading organ builders rescued it from a church which was closing down and placed it there in 2022. They have another in a large shopping centre.

Great to see this type of instrument at a train station. The girl is brilliant!
Prachtig Ashley, werkelijk, en dan Bach nog wel ... subcribed !
Thank you very much 🥰
Wonderful playing! So wholesome to see this instrument in an open area for anyone to enjoy, Europe is light-years ahead of everyone else.
Thank you 🥰🥰

Sounds mellow for a pipe organ.

@@robertssje who knew the pipe organ could be so complex?
❤❤
anyone can play the organ correct?

Well, I loved the playing, but I don't for a minute believe that this organ is in that train station

Sure is. I have also played it. London Bridge station.

Wie kommt eine Orgel in einen Bahnhof? 😮
