- Tenma is a young orphan teenager who was raised in an orphanage in a small village.
Despite being only fifteen years old, Tenma isn't aware that his soul reincarnates every two hundred years to battle against the Gods.
His soul always promised to be beside the goddess Athena and protect her from the evil god Hades, who aims to destroy the world.
Therefore, Athena recognized him as the Pegasus Bronze Saint, the only saint with enough strength to defeat and extinguish any god in the universe.

I'll add, Saint Seiya is an overall no bullshit, great anime with great and fun characters (especially the Gold Saints)
why always hades, he's a decent guy compared to his brothers and he's the only solid god that's fair to literally everyone in myths and not only that when mortals face him they have the chance to walk away without anything fucked up happening to them
Ikr compare to him and his siblings he's the only decent god
Folks are already scared of death and make him the bad guy. Like folks hate war so they make Ares the bad guy alot of time as well. Even though Ares also represented honor. People had a different view of aspect gods. Technically if there were bad guys in the Greek pantheon they would be the aspect gods of enemy nations like the Persians, Carthaginians or Pheneoncians. Baal, Nergal, Moloc were not demons as much as other peoples gods.

i remember vividly the show "knights of the zodiac" in Mexico in the early 90s! and of course this reminded me of the show! it was an 80s show "saint seiya" I think

In his God cloth he was able to stand up against Hades the God of Underworld who was stated that mortal in his presence would die instantly and this isn't evan half of what Seiya can do
