Power off, is downward.....not upward, so it's impossible to turn off, by pushing down on the switch, by accident, when trying to find a tiny slider quickly during a gig.....in low light..... Just the fact, the Pocket Operators two knobs are too close together, is enough annoying stuff for me. Wish Vixen mixer was still being developed.
1 year later…worth the price?? They just announced the Field recorder aaaand yea….Feels like TE needs to be put in Timeout for a few years with these prices.
i would say the tx-6 is my most used piece of gear. since its the heart of a setup, the peripherals change but the tx-6 is always there to mix it all out. plus with the updates released since i bought it, especially recording to usb and the beat detection, yes its certainly worth the price. in regards for TE chilling on their prices... well, if they had lower prices, they would make worse things. so yeah, i'm happy to pay the prices if i can afford them, at least when i do pay that much i know i'm getting something that doesn't exist anywhere else.
It would have been smart to raise the middle knobs up about 5-6 millimeters. Or they could have made telescopic knobs for the middle. It may have only raised the price another couple hundred...
I’m almost certainly going to buy this, but it’s such a shame they didn’t just make this unit slightly wider so regular-sized cables could also fit in those inputs, and so the knobs were a bit more accessible. Have you tried connecting the TX-6 to an iPhone or usb audio interface yet? If it works well as an interface then I can justify it more easily lol
Pocket Operators only accept sync info from their inputs, so you would still need something plugged in there to tell them when to start and what tempo to play at. I can't fathom anyway this would be able to sync them in a way that's more efficient than just daisy chaining them
Wow ok so it is really really small! I am surprised by that custom jack, at first I thought it was some kind of master knob controller or something. But the body of this thing looks solid. Is it actually metal? GREAT REVIEW, DUDE! (Uhmmm LOL at the carrying case)
That company’s ridiculous I think they should make the same mixer in a watch they’d be real cool but who would want it. How did they sell that stuff it must be the buttons the knobs on it that that can withstand 2000° Probably could do a little cost cutting their. Lol But on your part great review honest review. I’m glad they don’t build iPhones. You have to mortgage your house for one of those.
How big is this hand? Cause this looks so awkward haha, it's gotta be worth sacrificing another inch to make the thing more practical.. In saying that, at least they fixed the build quality from the opz but making its functionality awkward seems like a bad selling point lol
i read somewhere online that you might have a chance to fix the unit yourself if you can boot it up and load the firmware again. but guessing you need the screen to do that. i did see that some people were talking about this on reddit and/or op-forums.com
I think they've gone too tiny this time! It's so lightweight and requires lady fingers for tweaking, not to mention it costs more than gold with same weight.
So get this or a reasonable computer and a sound card. TE keep getting more and more delusional but I guess they couldn’t cope with the demand if they priced themselves lower anyway. Don’t see why anyone would want this at that price but I’d love to hear your reasoning.

Are you kidding me? 1200 for a 6 channel mixer is acceptable to you? I have a 6 channel Mackie mixer WITH effects, XLR imputs AND phantom power for $200. This product is designed for suckers like you, go on ahead and waste your money on gimmicky s**t like this.
Bahahhhaa that's bull lol yet Behringer can't make prices lower. TE is for suckers.... Let them get gouged .
You gotta be trolling right?
Ok so i just recieved my TX+6 plus bag and the mixer fits without any issue inside the bag .. maybe you got a bad batch or something.. you should deffo contact TE and see if you can get a new one!
thanks for letting me know! yes, it seems i got a defective bag somehow!?!?
@@jaygilligan really strange!
Lol. The bag is really the only selling point.
@@sheepkillindog not really but go on king!
"Made for iPhone" Coffin nails..... for knobs. A gig......WITH THAT THING? Power off, is downward.....not upward, so it's impossible to turn off, by pushing down on the switch, by accident, when trying to find a tiny slider quickly during a gig.....in low light.....
Just the fact, the Pocket Operators two knobs are too close together, is enough annoying stuff for me.
Wish Vixen mixer was still being developed.
Are the controls Midi learn assignable ?
Coooool, so finally it comes with 3 op-z included. Thought it came wit 1 op-1. nice price. Fade 3 channels with 1 finger. Amazing tool
damn,they included a headphone jack......
silly me... i bought a behringer for about £40
and a vintage boss bx 8 for vabout £150
Holy shit the amount of custom parts in this shows that TE is absolutely not interested in making affordable gear
Are you sure your fingers are small enough to grab the knobs on the EQ section?
Dope video! Thank you!
So with this you can juts connect several pocket operators without needing to daisy chain them and they will sync up via the TX-6? ☺️
Same question
Pocket Operators only accept sync info from their inputs, so you would still need something plugged in there to tell them when to start and what tempo to play at. I can't fathom anyway this would be able to sync them in a way that's more efficient than just daisy chaining them
@@Gwyn94 You are right about that. ☺️
I see that you have 3 op-z are you giving any away and or are you going to sell one of them or nah just out if curiosity
Thanks for the review.
Filmed with a microscope? I can almost see the dude's skin cells - they're about as big as the knobs on that thing :)))
Wow ok so it is really really small! I am surprised by that custom jack, at first I thought it was some kind of master knob controller or something. But the body of this thing looks solid. Is it actually metal? GREAT REVIEW, DUDE! (Uhmmm LOL at the carrying case)
that case is a joke seriously lol thanks for pointing that out
This is definitely a joke being played. The size and that bag ? Come on. Should have come with some tungsten underpants. Yowzaaaaaa
🤣😂🤣
You said you’re a juggler?? That must pay well to afford all that teenage Engineerimg gear
Thanks, now I know what I don’t need.:-0
That company’s ridiculous I think they should make the same mixer in a watch they’d be real cool but who would want it. How did they sell that stuff it must be the buttons the knobs on it that that can withstand 2000° Probably could do a little cost cutting their. Lol But on your part great review honest review. I’m glad they don’t build iPhones. You have to mortgage your house for one of those.
TE Shrink Ray arrives in 2024, this solves all toy sized pre-existing TE stuff. Seriously though, why so teeny.
Is there any adapter to have optical out to connect to something like a push 3?
You trying to turn those tiny knobs really looks like a stressful thing. I like this unit, but hey .... its a tad too tiny!
Does it have Midi in so it can be operated from a controller with full size knobs?
That was quick
my patreon followers demand it
@@jaygilligan discount code please
Insane setup... wheres the OP 1 tho 😅?
2:35 juggeling seems to pay well these days 😋
The price of this thing is just stupid. Should be £500 max
Damn, shoulda been a juggler
Has anybody made a Docking Station for this yet ?
Looks big to me
Dam you got lots on OP-Zs!!!
How big is this hand? Cause this looks so awkward haha, it's gotta be worth sacrificing another inch to make the thing more practical..
In saying that, at least they fixed the build quality from the opz but making its functionality awkward seems like a bad selling point lol
Dous the pouch fit a pocket operator ?
for 80 $ this is cool
I got mine today and the screen don't seem to come on...do you have an I dead what might be wrong?
i read somewhere online that you might have a chance to fix the unit yourself if you can boot it up and load the firmware again. but guessing you need the screen to do that. i did see that some people were talking about this on reddit and/or op-forums.com
I might have to send it back
down for ON on power makes WAY more senes
cut but maybe just a bit too small
Got mine and the screen won’t come on
I think they've gone too tiny this time!
Get an MR-18 and a nice tablet for that price.
That is quite possibly the most overpriced sexy dumb piece of gear ever.
Did the pouch get resolved in the end?
I returned it- they offered a replacement but I'm going to get a hard case for the mixer anyway
