I'd argue Melee more, actually. Ultimate feels like it was designed after Xenoblade, whilst Brawl comes off as being a slight Metroid Prime aesthetic (based on what little I know of the game), and 64 feels like a Kirby design. Sadly, I can't pinpoint where Sm4sh got its FD from, but I can def say that I heavily believe that the world of Kid Icarus appears to have hosted it (in-universe at least). Melee was a dual host between Pokemon and F-Zero, Brawl a dual host between Metroid and either FE or Zelda, and Ultimate was a Hylian/New Donk (Zelda/Mario) collaboration. As for 64? Money's on Mushroom Kingdom/Pop Star host collaboration.
GX is one of if not the best arcade racing game around,very few games goes as wacky and fast as this one,and the cherry on top, it's a actual challenging game contrary to most modern Nintendo games Definitely a underrated gem,but if you can't play it,X is also very good and it's more accessible to play (there's a switch version and it's easier to emulate)
Yeah GX is pretty easy to emulate if you have dolphin. If you've never worked dolphin before, watch a video on how to get games working on there. It's super easy to get the hang of and it runs GX perfectly.
I can handle most of the courses in the diamond GP. But this one…I always would get thrown around by the aggressive AI and couldn’t even finish. I just came in really good positions on the other races and just would come in last on this and hope my points would be high enough for me to just barely win. It worked but took many tries lol

Miss such times everything to prepare for the millenium with flying cars, laser guns, the new thing called Internet, online multiplayer gaming, pc:s, 3d game boom with ps1, ps2, n64, dreamcast many cool legendary games etc. Now 2021....lol. wheres the hooverin cars?
You need to boost while holding the R button at the start/middle of the ascension (since you are going up at that turn). Most players fuck up because they boost or go too fast before the turn, which causes you to fly off instantly when the ascension begins. If you pull it off, you will fly but you will have the momentum steer you in the direction without flying off. I pulled it off smoothly with Phoenix once. The reason the AI does it so well is because they have course corrections programmed instantly when they do moves like that. The safest bet is to save your boost for the middle/end and slow down when you approach the curve so you dont go flying off. Gomar and Shioh, Roger Buster and Phoenix are the best guys for this course.
I beat the diamond cup on master by getting first on all the other 4 tracks and then coming last in this one. I am still yet to get a placement of higher than 20th lmao
I won all the cups in master class, but this is the only course that I never could get a place in the top 6 of the race in master class........my best result was a 20th place......I think
