Definitely investing in one of these when I get myself a boat. Great demo Chris. Gonna share this everywhere so others can see!
Thank you Sir and please do share share share. Thank you again for watching and sharing.
Thanks for another information packed video Chris
Your welcome Mike thanks for watching and i'm glad you enjoyed it.
Now that's pretty slick!
Thanks Chris ! Tried mine out Monday works great. Keep up the videos they do help.
Awesome Richard Clark so great they are helping you out. Thanks for the support.
That was a very good video on how that anchor retrieval works. Now it has me thinking about using one on my fishing boat.
We do it all the time in Alaska. 300-600 of anchor rope out there in the bays
Great instructions! Thank you
Thank You and thanks for watching
great video explanation keep up the good work
Thanks Matt Moore!!!
Awesome Explanation. I have one and almost sold it. But bi will Try it again.. Thanks Chris!
Your welcome Mike glad I got this out before you sold it you will be glad you use it!
Got to get one. Thanks Bro.
Your welcome and thanks for watching.
Thanks ! I need one. We got a Richter anchor hung up on a channel marker during a tournament on the Mississippi several years ago. We were in a low-profile commercial ClarkBoat and I thought we were going to swamp the boat
That's not fun at all when that happens glad to hear you didn't tho. These are definitely a great tool if used correctly. Thanks for watching.
great info Chris
Thank you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
Thanks Much Chris! I will be ordering mine from Bottom Dwellers. You always explain things so good. Thanks!

They are definitely worth there weight in gold brother!! If you use an anchor they are a must have!!!
Wow this is a great idea Chris...Wouldn't you know that these are out of stock...Figures...But I did find the same thing on Amazon for a bit more but free shipping...Thanks for sharing this one for sure...
Your welcome sir and glad you were able to find one else where. They are worth every penny lol. Thanks for watching buddy.
طريقة رائعة جدا شكرا لك صديقي
Good video !
Thank You
Something I can add that you should mention is always have a sharp knife with you when doing this. I’ve seen boats get in huge trouble anchoring and retrieving there anchors in real heavy currents on the Columbia River and a knife saved the boat from going down.
Ooo yes great advice!! Thank you I forgot to mention that
I think im going to get one
thank you.
Your very welcome
A bouy is a must have on the boat especially when on the boat by yourself. I have one on my boat just incase I hook on a oversized sturgeon that I can release the anchor line and chase it down.
That they are Jose Montalvo.
@@chrissouders476 I'm starting to put videos of my fishing trips. Check them out when you get the chance so far I have two. th-cam.com/video/lOTfXH-LJvo/w-d-xo.html
That’s cool soooooooooooooooo cool ❤🎉😊
I’ve use 16 lbs river anchor what size buoy system should I get? Thanks
For acreal anchor your have 10 to 30 ft of chain.
Thanks for the video. Question here...
If used while anchoring next to a ship wreck while scuba diving, I would imagine that it is possible for the anchor to get hooked on the wreck while being pulled up if your not careful. I wonder what would happen if the anchor does not release or gets hooked on something like a wreck.
Would your bow stay above water as you get pulled to a abrupt stop?
So something like this happened to me on an old blown up dam. I had a very large zip tie on the anchor that wouldn’t break (that was not smart on my part) as I pulled forward the rope got tight and whipped the front of my boat around. I ended up cutting the rope and loosing the anchor. So alway make sure to use a breakable zip tie.
Glad to hear you didn’t get hurt, sorry about the anchore. Thanks for your reply
Your very welcome just remember to use a zip tie that will break 😂 lol!!
Cool
Works very well Larry! Thanks for watching
Thanks Larry
how can you tell when it has puller the anchor all the way up?
What’s the weight of your anchor and ball diameter? I’ve got a breakaway anchor, but it’s a major strain on my back to release and then pull up 20lbs of deadweight from 30+ feet. This looks like the cats meow. Thanks for the great video.
My anchor is 30lbs and the bout is 13"I believe
What is the minimum diameter anchor roep that you can use?
Cool video. I tried mine for the first time today. How tight is the sliding bolt supposed to be? Should it be able to slide under its own weight?
You will have to hold the bolt back while letting line out but when you go to pull it in it wil do it on it's on. Thanks for watching
Chris Souders so I tried it again yesterday. The 2 nuts are loose and I feel like they are going to fall off. If I tighten them, it won’t slide. Yesterday when I pulled anchor it worked, but when I went to retrieve, the anchor feel back down to the bottom... I’ve tried 3 times now and it only worked once.
Send me a message and I’ll get with you and see if we can get it figured out.
Chris Souders used it again yesterday and it pulled the anchor but soon as went to retrieve, the anchor feel back down to the floor. I think the locking mechanism is too loose.
Hmm that’s not good if you are face book send me a message if not send me private message on my channel so that I can get with you and help you take care of the issue.
dont you get a lot of side to side drift with the anchor rope tied to a side cleat like that?
If I'm in straight current yes but if I'm in straight current I'll hook it on the front or lay it over the trolling motor so that it pulls straight but at times depending on the current I'll hook it on the side cleats to get it pointed the direction I want.
What size buoy is that
What if the anchor catches something as your dragging it?
Having a good break away anchor is best but 99% of the time it will come straight up to the bouy. Now in that slim chance it hangs up just slowly let off the gas turn back in to it and finish pulling it the other way.
Ahh yes straight up makes sense. Thanks for the response!
Your welcome that was a good question thanks for asking.
That's why you pull anchors from your bow not your transom. If it's caught on something it just pulls your bow around instead of pulling the cleat out of your stern.
What is that rope grabbing unit called? Product and manufacturer name?
It’s called an anchor lift or anchor puller. I got mine on amazon. Check the deception for a link. Thanks for watching
Probably need a couple more rods out lol
Absolutely!! Lol
Looks like the train tracks in sciotoville Ohio?
I think you need more fishing rods.
Yes I agree 100%!! Thanks for watching
Chris Souders you can never have too many, lol.
That’s right 😝 lol
What size buoy is that
17 inch I believe but it’s a little over kill.
