Nice mod, i like your choice of design. It might help you to remove the rotor from the movement and put it on a cushion. It's only one screw and that way you can handle it stable without it going all over the place. If you struggle with the second hand, my favorite technique is to hold the hand with rodico on the tip - that way you can position it properly and then use the pusher tool to fix it in. For positioning it's a huge help to see properly, so get a good loupe that you're comfortable working with. And please don't use the strap tool, it's metal and will leave scratches/marks on the hands... Btw the NH34 should come with a dial washer that should be put on before putting the dial. Keep up the good work and don't give up! It will become easier with practice! ;-)
@@WatchMeBuildWMB It's there to hold down the hour wheel. Without it the hour wheel might disengage if you bump or shake the watch. I guess it won't break, but you'll need to get the dial off and engage it again. Then it would probably be a good time to put the washer in there as well 😉
Also agree with this. Make sure you save the washer if you have it. They are impossible to find after the fact. I had a movement not come with them, and nobody would sell me just the washer
Use your watch band release tool-not the forked end to push on the second hands. Position with Rodico. That way no bend either end of the second hand. Takes time, but works better. NO SET watch between 9pm and 3am-both hours and GMT hands. Roll to the next day and go to noon or later to set. Failure will doom the watch-GMT will fail. Research this issue with NH 34 movements. True. Push in the "clutch" each time removing OR installing the stem. Good practice. Good luck.
The manuals of the NH3x say to not use the day/date quick set functions (middle crown position) between those hours. In those hours (around midnight) the movement mechanics are engaging to automatically change the day/date, which is why using quick set might damage the mechanics. I'm not sure about the GMT quick set but I know it's basically a modification of the NH36 day complication, so I wouldn't take any chances. Look it up in the manual to be sure.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Very good video!
Thank you very much!
cool mod! hope to build it one day and looking forward to more builds from ya!
You should try! And thanks look out for more!

Thank you! Will there be any issues if I didn’t put the washer before putting the dial?

Ah ok, I will try out the watch band release tool on my next build! Thanks for the tips!! 🥹🥹
Is this all the pieces from Elliot Cole video ? You're probably the one that took the last 40mm case in front of me ahahah
I did get the inspiration and encouragement to start from that video! But I didn’t get my parts there because they were sold out hahaha :(
@ alright ahah yeah the parts are still sold out right now 🤣
@ I recently got this s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_opgzAGv
Pretty good quality, will do a review of my upgrade soon
What do you mean by no set watch between 9pm and 3am?
He means don't change the date when the watch time hands are between 9 pm and 3 am, it can screw up the mechanism
Don't set the fix the time from 9pm to 3 in the morning it can mess up the automatic movement
Thanks!!
