    Well done Dylan. The Context capture for 3D modeling is the standard for sure, but the acquisition plan has to be robust as well. Good demo on UGCS.

    Hey Dylan, great video! I am relatively new in this industry, and I feel like I'm missing something here, so I have a question pertaining to DroneDeploy and UgCS. I am confused as to why you would purchase both DroneDeploy and UgCS when DroneDeploy does both flight planning and processing. Can you help me see the bigger picture that I am missing and explain your reasoning for using UgCS for flight planning and using DroneDeploy only for processing? Keep up the good work, Thanks!

    I've watched several of your videos and love the way you make it simple. In a couple of videos, the professional used a Mavic 2 for mapping however; the Mavic 3 classic does not support mapping (strange). I am a TH-cam junkie and believe I am starting to get overwhelmed by the information and it's starting to get confusing (hardware, software, etc.). I am also looking for a person or group here in Jacksonville, Fl that I can connect with as I am more a visual learner. Thanks!

    This is really great! I didn't know software like this exists! Wow! Thank you so much for providing this video with all these insights! - A question: I have a "DJI Mavic 3" and from what I have seen this model is not in the list of supported models of UgCS. DO you know if there is a work-around? Also, it seems that the RC Pro is required to transfer the waypoint kml? Do you happen to know if it is at all possible (even if more cumbersome) to copy the kml file manually to the proper location on the lesser capable RC? - Thank you! :-) Subscribed!

    Dylan, great video! I was able to run similar setup in UGCS the drone ran the mission and getting to the end. Unlike DroneDeploy even though the drone ran the mission nothing was captured on the SD card. Is there a setting that I was missing when the mission was initiated? Is there any integration with DroneDeploy and UGCS or do you simply take the photos and upload into Drone Deploy?

    (1) How long did it take for the drone to complete that mission? (2) And how many batteries did it take?
    (3) I assume when it's in the middle of a mission and the battery runs low, it will RTH so you can replace the battery, then it resumes it's place where it left off? Thanks in advance! Great video btw!

    • @DylanGorman
      @DylanGorman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I were to fly the whole property, 2 batteries but for what I captured in this video it only took 1! If you need to swap, you can do that and then return to its last know position to continue data capture.

    • @DylanGorman
      @DylanGorman  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I believe it is replicating a systematic capture in order for the overlap to be tight enough for the model to process properly. I can certainly ask the UgCS team as to why the mission is handled in that way rather than the other way you suggested.

    Hi Great Video, and very interesting you are very knowledgeable. I am new to this and just looking into getting started using this tech in my job. The question is how good is it in the real world for looking for objects on the ground for example, how close up can you get the pictures etc. i can see its great for large buildings etc but im after looking at items next to the buildings etc. I hope i explained that well enough for an answer. Thanks for a reply it would be greatly appreciated. Kev

    • @DylanGorman

      You can get as close as you need. Depending on the software that you use to stitch all the data with, itll allow you to produce a higher grade model with the detail of the ground.
