    In this video we also talk about the POWER of trading the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100 using supply & demand price imbalances.
    CASH account trading options (Avoid $25k PDT rule)
    Futures account have no PDT rule (/ES /NQ /MES /MNQ)
    Focus on one market or a select few stocks.
    PRICE and VOLUME are the ONLY indicators you need.
    **I recommend trading SPY and QQQ and MASTERING them.
    Highly liquid, they are the market itself, works very well with supply & demand imbalances.
    Trading is the most SCALEABLE business. 1 contract, 10 contracts, 100 contracts.
    Stop trying to hit homeruns! Consistent base hits add up.
    Detach from the $$$ and focus on the process!
    Hope you all enjoy ! :)

    This is a great gameplan. I've been trading only SPY for the last month and I've been able to 5x my small account. I got tired of chasing TSLA, gappers, etc. Now I just chart the SPY, ES, and NQ, and trade the SPY. Play the ORB, the test of the overnight/previous day high/low, and sometimes the close (if there is a strong move in one direction). Maybe 5 trades a day, and I start scaling out at 10-20% profit. You can trade a lot less and get better quality by just focusing on strong moves in the SPY.

    • @BattlestarGenesis
      @BattlestarGenesis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      What time frame do you like for the ORB?

    • @JohnVC
      @JohnVC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      @@BattlestarGenesis I find that I get shaken out with the 1 and the 3-minute. The 5-minute is probably what I do most, but even the 15 is more reliable if you have patience.

    • @BattlestarGenesis
      @BattlestarGenesis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey another question, since I'm trying to get better at doing ORB so I'm trying to learn from people. Do you let the Opening range form after a certain time after market open? Or pre determined levels?

    • @JohnVC
      @JohnVC 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@BattlestarGenesis I think Carmine has videos on how to play the ORB. Basically you wait for the first candle to form after the open, then when the second candle breaks above or below that's the direction you play. So on a one minute chart it would be super choppy, but on a 15-minute chart once the first 15 minute candle breaks in one direction it's a better indicator of perhaps the next hour. This all varies of course. You can also back test this by looking back over previous days and seeing what would have happened if you had taken the second candle in the direction of the break. You'll probably see that the longer time frames are more reliable.

    Recently, I got into the TH-cam financial niche, and I’ve taken a deep dive into trading. Particularly, options as it interests me. Trading without sufficient knowledge deems your chances of being profitable at an inherently high rate because it is risky and requires considerable skill as individuals who attempt to trade themselves end up losing money. Profiting from the trading is possible, personally, I don't underestimate the role that professional guidance plays as Herman W Jonas, an astute trade manager has given me an edge over the rest of the market which has propelled me to make more profit. Not sure of you talk about this, but I have a lot of years trading spy option contracts. Best strategy is to buy an at the money spy contracts and do a credit spread on the spx option contract. You can get an average of 2.50 to 3 dollars credit for the spx contract, which will off set any potential loss on your spy contract if it goes against you. The purpose of spy contracts are for large moves to go in your direction, but most of the time you should be able to make most of your profit from selling at the money spx credit spreads due to theta decay. Hope this helps anyone looking to trade spy contracts. You can also do this with es future contracts as well.

    Realistically if you're trading more than 1-3 trades a day you're doing too much. Aim for a Risk Reward 1 to 2 minimum and think in terms of probabilities. You give up reward, for a higher probability of making money (later entries) or more reward, less risk, lower probability (earlier entries). Also Stick to 1 stock or ETF, that's all it takes. Work on being consistent and you will be profitable, start with an 'I don't care size' and work up as you get comfortable. Lately drop the indicators and learn price action.

Yes it will cost more for farther out but it will play to your style and not make you want to check charts every five minutes to maximize gains. Stay away from 1,5, maybe 15min charts. And wait till open bell is OVER.

    Absolutely Great video, being I've taken so many loses prior it's hard right now to detach myself from the money as I fear losing anymore but I'm working on becoming consistent so small consistent wins then scale up!

    Your advice on this video is SPOT ON! My problem is watching to many tickers. You convince me to just trade spy and qqq and try that for a while. I'm much better at short trades. Every time I hold for the big one. I lose it all.

    Ok I’m using Webull, I come across this video a few days ago and watched, so I thought about it, Webull has a paper trading section for practice, and that what I’ve been doing, practicing before I jump into anything, I want to be confident when I actually start trading.
    So I set my paper reader up with $1000 and pulled up QQQ today watching it closely for a few minutes, it was on the down slop, so I watched the candle sticks, I could tell it was about to start going up, as soon as it did, I purchased 1 option, and let it run for 25 minutes, then sold, and made $700,
    $700 in paper trader, listening to what you said, I’m going to run this 6 more times practicing, then I will start this for real, but I have to give you props, it worked the 1st time I did what you said!

    is a standard margin or cash account all you need to conduct these trades? Or do they only allow for covered plays?

    SPY and QQQ kind of choppy because they factor in multiple companies with a weighted factor, but I believe they can be mastered. Personally my two favorites are AMD and BA. Usually good ranges for bulls and bears, price action follows through majority of the time on wicks off supports and resistances. Less traps in these names. I get trapped sometimes in SPY & QQQ but I'm sure there are others who can spot it better than I can

      @@vision1707 Lol some days, Boeing has been getting on my nerve lately with the consolidation while trying to scalp. AMD for 15 min timeframe but on a 2 min timeframe NVDA & SQ make solid moves. Big candle moves in 4-10 minutes on average

      To me, NVDA has been trading a certain range and I noticed that it usually follows the SPY. Question, does AMD and Boeing move slowly by the weeks in between ranges so you can take profits weekly or do you have to wait a few weeks before taking big profits. I don't want to trade a stock that only pay a few hundred dollars a week and I'm leveraging a big part of account. Thanks!

      @@gregorymalone1073 Whoa there Mr. Malone, I'm a Day Trader, specifically a scalper. I never look at a weekly chart. Hardly even a daily. I've made money so fast in 1-5 minutes going one direction, literally, the rest of the day could be completely opposite direction and I've still profited and been done for the day. but if I had to give my opinion the swings have been so wild in this market, I don't know how you could swing trade or even say anything moves slowly. We are in 2 completely different universes lol

    I love your videos, Can we get a full video only explaining how to find supply and demand zone I saw one of your videos had only the last few minutes explaining how to draw and find them, I was able to learn from that but in this market it seems like it not 100% accurate as supply and demand is not holding
