I watch several TH-cam videos on how to trade in the stock market but haven't made any head start because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands
@@Susanne-zuku Bridget Mary Turow her trading strategies is working for me for more than a year now and I’m making good profit from the stock market and she's 100% honest, reputable and trustworthy
You have taught me more in 10 videos then I have learned throughout over a month and a half of trading and watching videos daily. I only play far out of the money and try to scalp and I wonder why I don't get anywhere. It's because I never have enough to do at the money or in the money contracts.
This video is exactly the concise info I need to get into options day trading. You answered my questions on strike theory, you showed expiration class, choosing the underlying, perfect. And the visuals using TOS are just what I need for my own setup.
Good luck to you all day trading options, specially buying them ! I have been trading options for over 7 years and I have done intensive research on what works and what does not over the lung run, I also have spoken to the best options traders in the world ! and let me start by saying 1 thing. If you are buying an option You better have a good reason-idea on why you are buying the call or put. Now I do not mean you doing some form of technical analysis and thinking that is your reason and the idea behind it. Buying an option has 3 disadvantage making them harder to trade and be profitable compare to selling them. 1) Time decay. ( everyday your stock does not move your option is losing value) 2 Volatility ( If your option had a high implied volatility and it contracts , than your option will devalue in price, meaning you over paid for the option and this is if the stock moves your way 3 Options most of the time are over price because they are insurance and they have an expiration date. So if your option does not move with in your estimated time, than it will expire worthless and you will lose all you paid for it. Now how do you buy an option the proper way? Simple only when there is a catalyst that you expecting to happen and you could see that stock becoming volatile and have a crazy move. Example - Trump election is coming right? Well yo could essentially go and buy an option 60 days from now expecting for the option to gain value in price as it get closing to the elections as the volatility will increase. Also you must gauge the important indicators to have a better idea. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE BS TECHNICAL ANALYSIS , RSI , MACD and others. I am talking about looking at the options skew, the put/call ratio, upcoming events, data from the feds and your volume profiles to see where is that stock at( in this case the spy) relatively to the supply/demand . For that reason in this case it will make sense to buy an option. To me the best thing to do when trading options is to sell naked puts and calls, also vertical spreads far out the money and collect premium when volatility is high. Now selling naked option is very risky but when you do it right you have an statistical and probable advantage. Essentially you become the dealer and you get pay to hold the risk.. ANYWAYS I AM NOT GIVING FINANCIAL ADVICE AND I AM JUST WRITING HOW WOULD I PLAY IF I HAVE TO BUY OPTIONS.
This was the video with the information that I've been looking for! I started papertrading options this morning to test out the waters, and was wondering why I got little to no yield on such a big move, but I can see why now. As you were checking different Options charts, I was doing the same thing on my own charts and noticed such a huge difference on the options I played versus the ones I SHOULD'VE played!
this is one of the best-detailed videos about options I've ever seen. Thank you for taking the time to make this. I'm new to options and now I'm a new subscriber.
I APPRECIATED THIS VIDEO A LOT!!! YOU WERE CLEAR, DETAILED AND YOU GAVE FULL EXPLANATIONS... THIS IS MY FIRST VIDEO-- I'VE SEEN WITH YOU... BUT IT WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE MY LAST... GREAT JOB ON EXPLAINING THIS TO US
2nd this. The one you have isn't extremely clear. For example, when you're choosing your target zones, a more indepth candle explanation would really help.
🤯 you just helped me figure out how to see contracts on desktop. My thumbs can take a break & let me focus on the action 🤗 thank you for this great lesson.
Your videos been helping me so much more than the thousands I’ve watched before yours. Trying to figure out options! Seriously man ! Thanks for the video an how u break it down where I can understand it for once lol 😁👍👍👍
You are one of the best at explaining options trading on ToS I am very happy to have found you. Considering subscribing to your services. The commercials that play with that bearded guy are extremely distasteful though. Very difficult to bear them for even a few seconds, Would you consider moving to different ads? His ads are probably costing you more viewers than the revenue they generate.
Bro another fire video, your killing it out here man. Glad to be a early fan because you will get a good following,. Keep up your cadence and strcture its great, maybe add some more pop up graphics on top of the video when referencing stuff ( I.E. Definitions, Macro Charts, Articles ETC...)
Carmine - #1 when you go in and out of quick call contracts - what do you use going in and out of the call? buy open, sell open, sell open, sell close. Question #2 Since contracts expire on Friday do you use the Friday date when going in and out of the contracts during the trading day?
Excellent on so many levels: but how did you get the P/L from "Monitor" to show at bottom of "Trade" tab to show real time P/L of your option Call ... either way you seem to make TOS "sing" ... Thank you!
Your videos for calculating and correlating option price to the underlying stock price is simply the best ive seen on the web. Thank you for this content.
Believe it or not, there are idiots out there who represented brokers and gave wrong information of what delta actually is. Thanks for this in-depth explanation on option price movement.
Lol late to this video, but really enjoyed it and will subscribe. If you still read your comments, just curious if you ever swing trade longer option trades and how you pick contract dates for each type of trading. Thank you Carmine
Great and informative videos. Being a newbie, do you have a video on how to setup your thinkorswim to have multiple graphs like you do? How to copy and paste? When scalping or day trading how to buy and sell with a click like you? Any help is much appreciated.
dude, just found you on here and out of all the damn videos ive watched about day trading options yours were the best, new subscriber here, thanks for the info
Great work! Question. Let’s say for example I buy $10000 worth of spy call contracts and the price goes up 5 dollars and you sell! When you sell those contracts do you always need that amount of money In Your account to cover the cost? The question maybe a little confusing but I hope you understand. Just wondering how the money works! Cheers
Could you do a video of a good swing contract to go with? Like up to a week or two? And what the delta and theta should be? And how far out the money or in it should be?
Exactly the info I was looking for, I'm a price action futures trader and I couldn't fin many vieods about trading options in regrads to support and resistance
Great tip...never knew which options to pick until I saw your video. How do you choose options for swing trading ? In the money at the money or out the money?
hey, enjoy your videos. always to the point. very helpful. I am considering whether to day trade QQQ or TQQQ options. QQQ expires daily and TQQQ weekly. Which one is better? why?
Wow, great instructions! Thanks for the video. Which option expiration week are you selecting? Is it the same Friday that of that week or 1 week or 2 out? Also, since this is for scalps or day trades what would you do for swings? Choose a 2 to 3 or 4-week expiration and then what strikes work best? Cheers!
First thanks for the video. Which option expiration week are you selecting? Is it same Friday that of that week or a week or 2 out? I am new to options. Thanks.
Keep it up bro, This really me helped me understand TOS contracts a bit more for sure .. I always wonderful why I wasn't gaining as much but I guess this was the answer I needed all along .. When I'm buying contracts I keep getting eaten up even when it was going in my direction .. also another thing is when taking profits I'm not able to take in profits as quick once I see a $200 gain by the time I try to get out of position I'm losing my gains already .. or go negative .. how can I take profits fasters in way? Can you make video on fast execution?
How much liquidity/buying power do you need to have in order to scalp options with TDA? Are you just buying naked calls and puts for scalping? Great video. Thank you.
He is buying naked and depends on Stock and IV for the price of the option, in his video he was doing $700 x 10 Options value i believe. Typically going to be $700+ per option. Tesla stock ITM calls are $7k
I love your videos man, and I understand it however it just seems like you’re moving a little to fast when explaining it. If you can slow it down a bit so that some of us newbies can full gasp the navigation of thinkorswim and the information given. I appreciate all that you do bro.
By the way, I watched 4 videos of Carmine yesterday and will continue to watch more. Would like to develop a strategy and stick with it. Keep putting out great content. Thank you!
Ok- assuming you were only flipping the option, not holding to expiration…. Here is the scenario: Stock is currently at $30 . The stock will move to $31. Would it be most profitable to buy a $29, $30, or $31 call option?
Thank you, very interesting, I learned more with your videos than others I've been looking at. I'm new to trading options and I want to start with little capital say $500 but need to know if I need to buy or sell ATM, ITM or OTM on a small stock say GLUU. I want to make small profits. Any feedback, advice, videos, reads is greatly appreciated. Thank you
Thanks so much for the cintent I watch every single video on your channel! Could you make a video where we see you actually drawing the supple and demand zones?
You're amazing Carmine. Thanks for sharing this knowledge. I have watched so many videos it's all fluff yours is pure gold. Can't thank you enough. God Bless
Question, what happens if you buy a call like in the NFLX option chain you have here at the 495 strike price with a bid of .18 and it goes to $0? I notice in the Active Trader the price just stops at $0, really curious what would happen.
Great video, i notice you didn't touch on expiration though. On the day trades, are you buying same week, or always at least 2 weeks out if available ?

@rachealhubert74 Wow that was easy, i found her website and left a message for her . i hope she reply me. thanks.

Hi Carmine..How do you chart the demand and supply on the think or swim...any tips would be appreciated.

How do you choose stocks for options ? ,,,I’m new ,,, so I’m starting with swing trading first
So the smaller the move or scalp the closer to the money is what you want right.
Very educational vid. Tks for making this vid. Keep it up.

TD Ameritrade. Thinkorswim
When you sell scalps - do you prefer limit orders or market orders?
Great video! Do you also Sell MKT in this scenario?
As usual, Carmine, you are a great teacher!
By the way, I watched 4 videos of Carmine yesterday and will continue to watch more. Would like to develop a strategy and stick with it. Keep putting out great content. Thank you!
Hi can you make video on how to choose correct expiration and also how to pick correct straddle
Yes I can make a video on choosing expiration
Ok- assuming you were only flipping the option, not holding to expiration…. Here is the scenario:
Stock is currently at $30 . The stock will move to $31. Would it be most profitable to buy a $29, $30, or $31 call option?
I'm a new options trader but you look and sound like you know what your doing so I'll follow your videos. What program are you using to trade with?
Great video Carmen. I would love a similar vid, comparing different exp dates
Are you looking at the stock charts? Or the options chart when planning your exit?

Hey man thank you for the videos! Been doing well in my side too. You are a massive help! Keep up the good work.
Glad to help! Thats why I make videos like this in the first place
So would you say liquidity is a higher volume than open interest on a contract?
Well explained. It gets more complex if you hold for days/weeks.
This video was very helpful. Thanks!
Great videos 👍 only issue I have is buying market orders can be very risky. Could get a bad fill even with very tight bid/ask
You're amazing Carmine. Thanks for sharing this knowledge. I have watched so many videos it's all fluff yours is pure gold. Can't thank you enough. God Bless
How did you get those supply and demand bars you show at 6:55? Otherwise awesome video
Question, what happens if you buy a call like in the NFLX option chain you have here at the 495 strike price with a bid of .18 and it goes to $0? I notice in the Active Trader the price just stops at $0, really curious what would happen.
Great video, learning so much from your channel
Great video, i notice you didn't touch on expiration though. On the day trades, are you buying same week, or always at least 2 weeks out if available ?
That's exactly what I said. He never explained that. Wtf
Could you make a video on Supply and demand how to spot them more clear. Thanks great videos
Great Vid! I learn something from you in every one of them thank you! Nice trade by the way....
I appreciate that Mark!
You still use the .30 delta for day trading Nowadays?
