I’ve been trading options for about 10 years or so, and I have just one question. Where were you and your videos when I started learning this craft??? Excellent content you have and the way you explain it is very easy to understand . I will definitely be passing your channel on to family and friends. GREAT JOB!!! I’m looking forward to watching all of your videos.
I'm an educator and I know firsthand that having specific knowledge does not guarantee one's ability to teach it to others. My friend, you are a Master Teacher. Watching the video feels like your bestie is teaching you and really wants you to win. This is the most succinct, clear and concise options breakdown I've come across...EVER (and I've paid for courses). Thank you sincerely. I finally have my trading plan!
That was PHENOMENAL young queen!!! Clear, easy to understand, entertaining, and hella energy!!! There's so called guru's who don't know HALF the stuff you share, and are charging $2,500 to $10,000 for a course..... God bless you sis!!
Your videos are super helpful and educative. I am 23 years old Ukrainian and just started my investing grind! Already reading soooooo much more than I have ever read in my life. After studying the trajectory of assets like real estate, gold, bitcoin, dividend paying stocks of blue chip companies, gold, etc ,my conclusion is that most great assets never come down to the price that you want them to so you can buy. just buy the ones you can afford today
I been putting off writing a trading plan. I watched your video with my pen and note pad hoping to catch some gems, came out with my trading plan. Thank you ! 🙏🏾
Watching your videos is the first time I ACTUALLY feel like I can do this. So many "educators" out there and not one can make it feel doable like you do.
Absolutely, this stuff is still super relevant and something I use every day. It's all about setting up scanners and screeners to catch specific chart setups on stocks. Once you spot those setups, you can pick the best option contracts by looking at things like the time until expiration and using metrics like implied volatility and the Greeks. The contracts you choose can vary based on your account specifics and what you're comfortable trading or risking. Super pumped you found this helpful, and I'm here if you have more questions as you dive in. Welcome aboard, and happy watching!
I used to trade options about 10 years ago and then the technology was slower but now it can be done on my cell phone. The info that you give is 💯 God Bless You young lady

It's always good to go over things a few times to really get the hang of them. And hey, it's perfectly normal to feel a bit apprehensive, but you've got this! Girl!!! I’m a novice and i have no idea about stock or options (getting better with the stocks )You are amazing . Straight to point. You just got a subscriber
So say the stock goes well above the strike price, how exactly are you making money when buying a call option? Do you have to exercise the option to make your profit, or do you sell the contract? I've watched many videos & read a lot on it but no one really explains that part.
You would be making money because the call option gains value as the stock price changes. The option Greeks let you know how much you gain or lose per dollar change in the stock (delta), and other Greeks will let you know how sensitive the option value is the time (theta), volatility (vega), and so forth. One important point is that you do not have to exercise your option contract to make a profit. Exercising an option essentially means buying 100 shares of the stock outlined in the contract, which can be a significant investment. Instead of exercising the option, you can choose to sell the contract itself. If the contract's value has increased due to favorable stock market changes, you can sell it for a profit. This way, you're able to multiply your investment while trading options without the need to buy the actual stock. I hope this clarifies things for you! Let me know if you have any other questions.
@@BlackGirlStocks thank you for taking the time to explain everything. When you sell a call option contract that has gained value, do you have to wait for someone to buy it, or does it automatically sell & you profit? And when selling a call option contract you are just selling the right to buy shares, there's still no obligation to buy/sell those shares, correct?
@@chrisz5z You're spot-on with your understanding of selling a call option contract. When you sell your option contract, you do have to wait for someone to buy it. That's why I always recommend looking for option contracts with open interest and volume of at least 500 to 1,000. This helps ensure there's a more active market for that specific contract. Concerning order types, there are two primary options: market orders and limit orders. A market order is executed at the prevailing market price and gets filled almost immediately, while a limit order allows you to set a specific price at (or better than) which you're hoping to sell your contract. Limit orders can potentially fetch a better price, but they're not guaranteed to fill if the market doesn't reach your specified price. High volume contracts are valuable for another reason: they often have a narrower bid-ask spread. This translates to more competitive pricing when buying or selling contracts. And you're only obligated to buy(calls)/sell (puts) the 100 shares when youre the option "writer". If you do a Buy to Enter, Sell to close order, you're technically the option holder. You have the right, but not the oblication to buy the underlying stock.
This is the second time watching your video..good one. Anyway, I’m a dividend investor but it’s a slow and steady growth. I’m 39 with a $300k portfolio and plan to retire at 60. My goal is to reach 2 million by then...I repositioned some of my dividend stocks using a broker. Now, I’m buying fractional shares of TSLA, AMC ,NIO ,NVR again. Before I was after dividends for passive income but it’s slow growth so i took my chances on high growth stocks and I've gotten a 120% increase this year but hopefully I’ll reach a million sooner
I am just beginning my options trading journey, after refusing to look at it for years! I love your info style; straightforward, to the point, but fresh and interesting. I am so glad I found your channel!
I wasnt sure how I would go about screening for stocks or option trades. Then your video pops up and I never knew you can scan for options on TOS. thank you
Alot of great advice and explaining something failry complicated in a way the newer trader can understand. AND OMG! i have accidentally bought puts instead of calls, didnt bother to check my account. just kept checking that the stock was moving in my favor, looked at everything at the end of the day and was like what did i do?!?!?!?!? instead of being up almost a hundred percent i was down 70 : ( great content, u gained a fan!
Your videos are fantastic. Your style of explaining is the best! I really appreciate the time you take to explain things. May I ask, around 1:00, you mentioned your Walmart option that expires wayyy out and it makes you money all the time... You don't lose money on days that the price goes further from the strike price you chose? I thought with options you only profit when you get out of the deal and the profit depends on how close the price of the stock is to the strike price you chose. Maybe I'm missing something!
I haven't been trading long, but when I do, I get caught up in the terms🤣...bullish...bearish....stop loss...lol...geesh...but learning so much from you...thank you!!!
No problem at all! I'm really glad to hear that the way I broke it down made sense to you. Options can be a bit tricky, so feel free to reach out anytime you've got more questions. Always happy to help clear things up!
wonderful explanation! I'm an options newbie and am loving the TOS platform, thank you for utilizing it and showing exampled beautiful calls, puts, and greeks at the right strike. You make it so clear and understandable!
Your comment totally made my day! I really appreciate your kind words. And you're absolutely right about the versatility of options trading. It isn't just about day trading; there are so many different strategies out there for us to explore. One such strategy is investing in Leap options, which we can hold onto for an extended period. If the stock makes the right moves, we could see a nice return on investment. Honestly, I'm all about that! It's the options that make this all so fascinating for me. 😊📈👍
Hey, that's awesome to hear! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and feel invested. Welcome to the channel! 😊 If you have any questions or need more info, just drop a comment. Hope to see you around more! 👍🎉
Awesome video! I’m a beginner beginner in trading. I’m not good with the lingo yet but you took the “fear” out of trading for me. I’m excited to get started. Thank you!
Thanks ma'am. My account is about to blow up. Because of my greed, most probably. Now I'm recovering in considerable rate over time. Thanks again. Salute!!!!

just checked out your channel and I must say that you're a good teacher. you know how to explain stuff in a simple way that people can understand and that is hard to do. I will look at your other videos soon. Have a great day.
I have been listening to different options traders videos off and on for about 5 years. I started with Jason Brown and thought he was good, but I recently watched and subscribed to your channel, and I don't know why, but I am beginning to understand better now because you explain in common language, thank you so much. 😊
First off, thank you for explaining everything in terms that 1. I can understand 2. Don’t make me Feel stupid. I am loving all of the info I’ve been attempting to absorb! Thank you thank you thank you! Any thoughts on doing some videos on futures?
Awesome video. Love hearing other people’s strategies. I started learning about 8 months ago and been grinding for the past few months averaging 500-1,000 a day. I never use stop losses though lmao gonna look into thoseee
@@lavellelee5734 what’s working for me is trading repeatable, healthy growing stocks that I know I can trust my TA. Like NVDA, or DT, or AMD. I do quick flips, only hold a contract for a day or two. Above all, trust your gut and develop a strategy that fits your budget, time availability, and financial goals.
straight up queen this happen to me today, moving too fast and didnt check my call or put and it went against me and Im asking what the heck is going on, then notice I didnt change my previous direction for the stock. lol smh, i got to do better. lol. great video, keep up the great work
Hey! So about using RSI as your go-to for hopping in and out of trades, I wouldn't really call it the MVP for entry and exit cues. It's pretty solid for spotting when things are getting a bit too hot (overbought) or too cool (oversold) in the market's trends, though. But for those crisp entry and exit signals, you might want to check out a few other indicators. Here are some worth considering: SuperTrend Indicator - Super cool for catching trend direction and can give pretty clear signals on when to enter or exit based on its line flips. Support and Resistance Zones - Classic and crucial. They help highlight areas where the price might bounce back or break through, giving you a heads-up on potential entry and exit points. Fibonacci Retracement Levels - These are great for spotting the potential reversal points in the price of an asset. They can indicate where to set your sights for entering or exiting a trade. Moving Averages - Can't go wrong here. They smooth out price data to show the trend direction and can act as dynamic support or resistance lines. These should give you a solid toolkit for plotting your trades with more precision. Dive in, experiment with them to see how they align with your trading strategy. Happy trading!
This is a great video! I've watched it a few times to make sure I didn't miss anything. The one question I have is setting up stop losses on Options. I use Webull for my platform and when I go in to place the options order I don't see the section that lets me choose the stop loss amount. What am I missing?
Spy options are on point and to me, there’s higher volume and lower volatility and the gains are great, that’s the safest options I’ve been in thus far. And I have made my best profits on these. I’m working on looking for others but it’s my favorite lol.
Young Black Male, currently I am like many unemployed & don't know what to do. I was at least smart enough to not spend a dime of my stimulus money. I’ve been researching about options. I just want to make myself enough money to make up for my job and start building for me and my happiness again.
Ken I'm a forex trader I usually use no indicators or I use the moving average indicator can you can you trade just using price actions and the candlestick patterns or for options does indicators work because it's a longer time
Let say I have 200 apple stock on $145 (which is worth $29K ) and I choose the sell-call option 2 months later for $160 . MY QUESTION IS!!!; if the stock price hit to strike price which is $160 let say 15 days later which and I didn’t make money on sell-call option. Do I still make 200 shares apple from $29K to $32K or am I not making any money ? Please please please help !!!
this is literally the smoothest and easiest to understand video ive seen so far on YT about trading options. Thank you. ive picked up some solid pointers with this.
Typically I don’t prefer options over common stock trading because options are simply contracts and confuse everything...but the upside of options is that you can level up a LOT faster in less time...I’m gonna try it out and see how well it goes for me...I’m gonna start tomorrow...wish me luck 😀
You putting me on to sites I didnt even know about and I like how you go into detail an explain it even more, I had to subscribe I’m about to watch more vids
@Black Girl Stocks QUESTION : At the 15:40 mark in the video, you said " I just want to wait until I get a 50% return & then I will just get out automatically". My question is this : When you say "get out automatically" are you selling the option or the stock? I noticed that in the video the "last price" was $48.88. I ask these questions because I have a small 🦐 account & I am new🤔 to options. Please clarify this for me. Thank You.
Hey James! These are great questions and no worries, we have ALL been new to options at some point. At the 15:40 mark, when we mentioned "getting out automatically," I was actually referring to selling or closing the option contract for a profit once it reaches a 50% return. If we were talking about obtaining the actual stock shares from the options trade, I would have said "exercising the option contract." Regarding the "last price" at $48.88, that's the price of the stock itself, not the price of the option contract. It's important to distinguish between the two. Keep on learning and feel free to ask more questions! We've got your back. 📈📈📈
Great video! What is the best platform out there to do this type option trading? I am trying to decide whether etrade, robinsons or Ameritrade. New subscriber here Thank you!
That take profit/stop loss is only for shares is there a way to do it on options? Ik you can do the stop limit but can you do both as in the shares. Been googling no hit yet thanks in advance
Hi, this content was extremely helpful, and you breakdowns and explanations are very clear and easy to understand. I appreciate you for that. I was wondering, is the a video of the chart that you use. Is that trading view or something elso, I feel that if my chart was set up like yours, it would be extremely beneficial. Thx
Thanks a ton for the kind words! I'm happy that my content has been helpful to you. 😊 About the chart, it's actually from thinkorswim, not TradingView. You've got a cool idea there - making a short tutorial on setting up your chart sounds like something that could help out a lot. What do you think?
I like your strategy of making $100 a day. I was able to do this by only trading the QQQ. When I was trading the Qs I would only need a .20 movement with the QQQ to gain the .10 profit that I needed to capture the $100 gain/w 10 contracts and a low premium. Darlene Nelson known as the queen of the Qs actually had a dvd series; (which is no longer available) on this and I must say I had fun getting that $100/pre day profit. I took my small account of $1025 to just about $9600 in a short period of time. I really like your option search set up that you shared. This' my very first time seeing your training videos and I really like your energy and teaching. Thanks for the lesson. Peace out.
Hey there, it's awesome you're getting into options trading! As for hitting $1000/month, it's doable, but it mostly depends on your starting capital and trading skills. Just remember, there's risk involved, so be sure to only trade what you're willing to lose. Keep learning and practicing.

It was a Leap option with an EXP further out with lower theta - you still lose money to time decay just a smaller amount

Wow! What gets me is out of all the videos I’ve watched no one spoke on setting a contract months or a year out would generate you money everyday!
This is the first video I have watched on your channel and I must say that I’m hooked already! Awesome

Very well explained video. Quick question, If I'm starting with 100$, would you say having only one contract for maybe 40$ or less at a time is ok?
Yes that’s a good beginning for sure

@@lavellelee5734 what’s working for me is trading repeatable, healthy growing stocks that I know I can trust my TA. Like NVDA, or DT, or AMD. I do quick flips, only hold a contract for a day or two.

Do you think using RSI is a good method to use when looking to get in and get out of a trade option
Here are some worth considering:
SuperTrend Indicator - Super cool for catching trend direction and can give pretty clear signals on when to enter or exit based on its line flips.
The best I've seen on options trading so far. I will be following you. 😊

This is a great video! I've watched it a few times to make sure I didn't miss anything. The one question I have is setting up stop losses on Options. I use Webull for my platform and when I go in to place the options order I don't see the section that lets me choose the stop loss amount. What am I missing?
you select the option that you are closing, and make sure its a limit sell, put your limit number there.
One thing i dont get, is the way u choose stocks, I mean u only have a few futures , forex right?
I choose stocks that have the highest daily trading volume for liquidity
Spy options are on point and to me, there’s higher volume and lower volatility and the gains are great, that’s the safest options I’ve been in thus far. And I have made my best profits on these. I’m working on looking for others but it’s my favorite lol.
I'm into the $SPY Options also! 🙏🏾
@@Kloutkulture and this one why I like the $SPY Options

Ken I'm a forex trader I usually use no indicators or I use the moving average indicator can you can you trade just using price actions and the candlestick patterns or for options does indicators work because it's a longer time
Yes you can trade only using price action and candle patterns. Most indicators are a visual representation of the price action and volume

Thanks, i'm Glad it helped!
Typically I don’t prefer options over common stock trading because options are simply contracts and confuse everything...but the upside of options is that you can level up a LOT faster in less time...I’m gonna try it out and see how well it goes for me...I’m gonna start tomorrow...wish me luck 😀

If we were talking about obtaining the actual stock shares from the options trade, I would have said "exercising the option contract."
Regarding the "last price" at $48.88, that's the price of the stock itself, not the price of the option contract. It's important to distinguish between the two. Keep on learning and feel free to ask more questions! We've got your back. 📈📈📈

That take profit/stop loss is only for shares is there a way to do it on options? Ik you can do the stop limit but can you do both as in the shares. Been googling no hit yet thanks in advance

Keeping it real in the stock game. Thanks for the game sister. It really helped me.

The probability of profit on an ATM call is like 30% due to theta decay. If you got the bread you are way better off selling option premium.
✅✅
Peace out.

I am a beginner at trading options (some knowledge (I think) thanks to your videos and review cards). How realistic is to try for $1000 a month?
Hey there, it's awesome you're getting into options trading! As for hitting $1000/month, it's doable, but it mostly depends on your starting capital and trading skills. Just remember, there's risk involved, so be sure to only trade what you're willing to lose. Keep learning and practicing.
@BlackGirlStocks certainly will. I so enjoy all of your videos, you are truly inspiring.
