I don’t understand why there aren’t more sci-fi MMORPGs. Seems like there is a lot more flexibility v fantasy. You can do hard sci-fi, sci-fantasy, post-apocalyptic, etc.
Yep. I would give just about anything for a proper post apocalyptic dark sci-fi MMORPG. Not sure why everyone keeps rehashing the same environments, weapons, themes....
Because MMOs always have been about magic with sci-fi sprinkled on it than the other way around. Sci-fi by itself is too small to sustain a huge world.
Jesus, I'm cringing internally from how much Monster and Memories visually resembles Everquest (*Remembers so much time wasted grinding.*) I can only hope they have the slightest amount of sense, and the gameplay doesn't resemble EQ at all.
I played in one of the Alphas for Monster and Memories. I died to a rat about 12 times before I thought "Hmmm, maybe I should group up." The game has a heavy emphasis on group play.
@@tacticalsandwich9149 That's fine by me. I typically prefer grouping, but dying to a rat is stupid. Start with cooler enemies, if you are forced to group to defeat something.
If only the Combat and UI in Throne and Liberty wasn't a hot mess...I tried I really did but the Combat is just terrible, and the UI gives me a Headache. It's too much

I’m probably old and outdated. But I’m hoping they manage to develop a MMO based on Elden ring, where we will need the classic trio of tank, healer and DPS to defeat bosses
is there some reason chrono odyssey has 0 hype? or am i just OOTL. never heard of it but it looks awesome and beautiful, does it have super predatory microtransactions or smth?
I just haven't seen a single bit of gameplay footage yet... Every trailer I've seen looks amazing but it's all rendered cutscenes and such so I honestly have no idea if it looks good or not 🤷🏼♂️
