To be 18 games into the league campaign and to have conceded only 4 goals is mind boggling. That Engels cross to Kyogo was a ball he tried a few times in the 1st half also. Glad to see it finally came off and I think there is a bit of mileage in that partnership going forward. David Beckham made an entire career out of just being able to whip in good crosses. That's not to disparage Beckham because putting in good crosses is a lot harder than it looks and it's why the guys who can do it consistently are bought/sold for 10's of millions. If Engels can start picking out Kyogo regularly with those balls, then we could really be on to a winner.
The way we went in to 2024, if someone said we'd only suffer two defeats in all competitions for the entire calendar year, you'd have laughed in their face.
After the game Kyogo handed the man of the match bottle to Arne & the way Kyogo was acting as if to say..This guy Arne can find me when others cant Thank god Or was it just me lol🍀
Exactly my reaction.. for all his brilliance Kuhn, for example, seems to ignore the wee man a lot. Hopefully Engels and Kyogo strike up a fruitful partnership. Kyogo needs to feel wanted to be at his best, imv.
