One prominent feature I’ve noticed across the last few games is a slight tweak ahead of the play when we’re building play, especially when we’re building down the left. In the second half against Motherwell it was really apparent. When we were playing out between Scales, McGregor and Taylor, the ball-side centre mid that is Reo, was dropping in next to McGregor, while the far side centre mid was rotating high up and central, deep into the number 10 role. This was Engels’ role and he excelled at this. We were using him as a bounce pass, to ping the ball back to Reo who was taking it on the move. Engels being high and central vacated a huge pocket of space in the right half space which Ralston was making late runs into. When the ball was rotated across to the right hand side in build up, you’d then see Engels make darting runs from the 10 position back towards that huge vacant space towards the right hand sideline, while Reo shifted high and central to overload the 10 role. When Engels got on the ball in the wide channel his quality on the ball was clear to see. His ability to whip an arrowed delivery in is second to none. By overloading zone 14 with Kyogo and an alternating 10 we tore them apart by playing reverse bounce passes into the space we vacated. Was a very refreshing tweak to our style. Meant much more action through the middle as opposed to everything going through the flanks. Thought Kyogo was much more involved yesterday too. There definitely seems to be an emphasis on playing a bit quicker through the middle since half time in the Motherwell game! 🍀
They were magical.......it was the first really beautiful to watch game we've had in a few months tbh......don't get me wrong a win is a win but they played like poetry in motion.
I love what Valle did yesterday. Even when he picked up the ball on the right side. We looked a lot more fluid and found a lot more space. Still not sure if that was us or STJ giving us that kind of space to play into.
@@RiverSeafree You and any other Celtic fan that thinks Valle is better than Taylor. Mabye in 5 years time. I'm just getting fed up of all this absolute nonsense about Taylor. No wonder he's leaving.
HH 😁 🍀 Time to put the season to bed on Thursday & hopefully with a show of our full strength and power on display. However, there is a slight trepidation as to how toxic it will turn when Celtic go ahead of them. I genuinely have a fear for the safety of our team. Let's hope I'm wrong. 🍀
A don't see Yang in the same light as you. I'd prefer a player from the B TEAM to be promoted to Yanks spot in the team . Am better just going I've heard enough.

It was a breath of fresh air after some of the more challenging performances we've seen in this block of fixtures agreed 👍🍻
Well said Quinny - refreshing to hear some honesty about some of our “heros”
Cheers mate! Glad you enjoyed it! Roll on the 2nd 🍀🍻

Yeah it is hard to really say where the space came from but I think not being obligated to play to McGregor played a big part in it
If you think a fit Taylor doesn't start on Thursday, there is no help for you. I don't know what planet a lot of Celtic fans are on.
@@Dmanz67 who are you even talking to
Ozymandias, mail your team selection to Rodger’s - he’ll want to see it.

I think therangers support will turn on their own players, leaving ours alone
