Then same girl use my id we looked kinda similar. Before covid in like 2000 got a hold of id and she gave it as her own to police for possession charges. She was tied to clear it up but they didn’t believe her so months later in the mail I get a warrant I walk to police station in Lompoc thinking I am gonna have to spend night in jail to see judge in the morning. I explain to officers what had happened. Who they were looking for and they pull up her rap sheet see that we do look simular he was gonna still book me in cuz he wasn’t 100% convinced. Luckily a sheriff that knew me my mom and the girl who committed the crime came out and asked what’s going on. I told him he said I know both these girls and I know that charge is not hers they let me go.

Drug trafficking doesn't constitute a danger to the public.
If he's still unemployed he should look at modelling, he's very photogenic.
Even if they're releasing criminals because of pandemic, non-violent offenders should always be arrested and booked. They can release them after booking.
That's exactly why the government & the police need to make sure their records & pictures are removed from the main sites & any other sites they see it on . They should annotate what happened explaining that it wasn't him . Someone used his id . And they also should give him copies of it just in case he need to show anyone that he's innocent .
How about their policy on IDing someone? The states spend millions to make DLs hard to counterfeit and this cop screws up a kid's life by accepting a pic and some memorized info. Wonder if he even got an apology.
Yea right in a real world he would have.
He should have been taken to jail because he produced a photo on his cell phone...if they were not going to take him in that night then they should have gotten his finger prints and mugshots on the scene before releasing him...
Agreed! But that’s only if cops actually do their damn jobs properly. So many dont…
@@generalohu7782 Yep...cops are people, too...some good--some bad...
@@rodmyyk That may be true be we the people hold them to a higher standard for a reason! They are given the power to arrest, to kill etc and if they can’t do their job properly they should be fired and lose their certification.
Once this clears up, I would like to see that restaurant owner face a lawsuit over providing the true suspect with this guy's information, or allowing access to that information.
So the policy say those that commit a crime that do not pose a danger do not need to go to jail. Wow should it be just fines and or community service. Think of how many people would not be in jail then
So sad to hear this !
He needs to sue the police, this is disgusting...
So nice they named him twice 😂😂😂
That's why they should do a 'walk thru' arrest. They get arrested, taken to jail, photographed, fingerprinted and then released with a court date to begin the process. Then, upon arresting the wrong man, he would be fingerprinted and the prints won't match. Then they would know for sure that it's 2 different people.
Because that makes to much sense and they do have it
Use the system. Go change your name legally..change first name. People can help think outside the box. Can a new be given??? I don't know..he needs to make every effort in the next few years ..
I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who did the crime is a CID.
What consequences did this lazy/negligent cop face for causing an innocent citizen to lose their job, vehicle, and freedom???
If you want your life destroyed the government is there to help. Hahaha
They won't do anything for him. They don't really care about the damage they do. He'll have to sue them, and the clowns will claim qualified immunity.
Very suspicious...there needs to be an internal investigation...he should be compensated for this aggregous mishandling...occurs he was framed...
We’re aware that we arrested the wrong person
But he’s a minority so we feel it’s okay
That man should have been arrested for false IDENTITY
This is what gets me, Brain Laundries wondered around for days, suspected for killing and this person can’t even say he is not the person they are looking for and they put things in motion that caused him to loose his car and job..,and dignity. This is the where the system is biased
Biased is too soft a word. Try overtly corrupt.
That young man needs to be righted if that is at all possible. I pray all works out for this young man.
Praying with a mother’s heart for our Lord to have the truth shine & this young man gets cleared to be able go forward in his life & also for his beloved family peace & strength to all. 🙏✝️♥️👼
No excuse for what the police did they need to compensate Ramon for his losses.
I see how this will affect his life. I hope he sue them. I was in the back seat of a car that got pulled over. I was the first one asked for id. When I said "I'm in the back and you ask me first?" So they got everyone and said my id was fake. Because my name was not me. That happened in 98. Policing needs to change.
It's all about $ and Over reach of Government
Shouldn't this state lose it's drug war funding for violating federal law? Trafficking felony for under 28 grams? That is not federally permissible and therefore they are not entitled to the drug war funding for violating the agreed upon ( by every single state ) rightful amounts and convictions laws set forth in U.S.C. title law.
It's the same thing thing here in Baltimore MD, actually on top of that the police here has a list of crimes that they will not arrest someone for or even prosecute , one of them is Assaults, the police has to see the crime happen or if it happens to someone who is important. The person who is assaulted has to file with the courts and the courts decides if they are going to prosecute it and in most cases they will not. It just happened to my sister, these changes are not due to covid either, its because of those screaming to defund the police and police discrimination
Accepted a photo of an ID on a phone??? What in the hell???
So where is the body cams?¹
Hope that this good young man sues the department because of their neglect, cause this young man so many problems, hope that he gets justice and sue that department
I 100% believe this happens a lot. I had similar happen twice. First time a cop stopped me believing I was a friend of mine. Melissa Horton. I even point out to him that I don’t have her tattoos or blue eyes that u have the wrong girl the cop got another cop who knew both of us (it was small town everyone knows everyone) and he vouched form me this was when I was 16.
And, you were STILL hanging with her? 😎
What would upu arrest someone you know didn't do it?
The cop body cam or car cam footage should clear this up.
The police should be fired for putting him in jail and they should be charged with false arrest
You need to make sure you know know your rights very well and the law find a good lawyer then sue You can win up to $30.000 - $900.000
Absolutely. If only more people studied law.
@@robertblackshear8963 yes indeed bro!!!
I hope you also study that money you win in the lawsuit doesnt come from the Police Dept budget. It comes from the tax payers.
Its called qualified immunity. Which Im sure they are protecting the Officer who didnt arrest the subject that gave a false ID, too...
@@TrueSonofErin i just found out about it that's F××k up mann
@@deonakaogking5952 Yes Sir it is! Catch 22 but, still a necessary evil! They (Law Enforcement) dont seem to learn any other way. It also goes on their record, and a Complaint or Lawsuit will usually start an I.A. investigation. Which you can F.O.I.A. ( freedom of information act) in time for the reults of the investigation. Hope any or all of this helps!
He's Black, so they didn't care. If the cops even said he wasn't the one, why the arrest. This whole situation is bull. Since when can anyone show a picture on a phone as valid ID to a cop.
It's a screw up not a kkk rally.Gtf out with your race victim bs.
Don’t worry they will find they did nothing wrong and you’re stuck cleaning up the mess
Sue the city AND THE OFFICER!
They never admit guilt. When they screw up.
This is why you never ID to cops.
THIS BEYOND HORRIBLE !!! I CAN'T STAND THOSE LYING THUGS !!!
Did we sue?
The cop was okay with a picture of an ID? Are you serious?
So the officer did not check with dispatch or the records department to verify his information.
Can you turn down the music? I can barely hear the speech.
An innocent person goes to jail. Loses his car and loses his job. He needs a large settlement to fix this!
I see a massive lawsuit coming!!!!
Sue and get paid! They owe you
He should not have to sue, they should offer restitution!!!!!!!! Clear his name, give him money, give him back his life, that’s the right thing!!!!!!
I hope he can sue for damages
Lesson to be learned, Dont let your friend use your ID to get into the bar.
@jason sherman: lesson which should be learned.
Don't assume facts not in evidence.
You don't know how he got that picture and the guy in the story also said he had no idea how he got the picture.
This is wrong, they need to pay him back for everything! I would sue the crap outta them
